Holiday Rental House
Once part of an historic fortified farmhouse, this is a charming listed property nestled in a picturesque hamlet known as Broomhaugh. The ground floor is open plan: the lounge area has a cosy gas stove in an inglenook fireplace. There is a fitted kitchen including a washing machine. There is an open staircase up to two bedrooms and a jack and jill shower room with WC and handbasing. The master bedroom can be made up as a king bed or twin - please ask owner at booking - it may not be possible to make a change on the first day of the let. There is a private small courtyard at the rear of the cottage. At the front there is a small garden. There are plenty of dog walks nearby. You can check the surroundings on Google Earth/ maps. ...Once part of an historic fortified farmhouse, this is a charming listed property nestled in a picturesque hamlet known as Broomhaugh. About the neighbourhood
Broomhaugh village (location of the cottage) is the oldest part of the area. Broomhaugh village is close by Riding Mill village which is the better known of the two. There is a pub close by but no village shop. However Corbridge is only 8 minutes drive away and will have everything you need including several pubs, restaurants and coffee shops. North along Broomhaugh lane (about 120 yards) is the River Tyne. There is much potential in the area for walks, fishing, kayaking, cycling and golf.
Getting around
Use the convenient railway nearby for accessing Newcastle, the Gateshead Metro Centre and Hexham and the Tyne Valley over to Carlisle. The X10 bus service stops very close to Broomhaugh Lane - for Newcastle and the villages and towns of theTyne Valley
