The house is also one of the few luxury properties in the area to welcome dogs, with free dog beds and a doggy welcome pack to make your pet feel at home. This gorgeous house sleeps up to eight guests in four double bedrooms (please note there is a normal occupancy restriction of six adults and two children). Luxury hypoallergenic goose-down duvets are provided in all rooms, but synthetic duvets can be substituted on request. There are two bathrooms, one of which is on the ground floor. Both reception rooms boast traditional open-coal fires along with full central heating, so it really is perfect for breaks at any time of year. The location of the house could not be better, as it is only a few minutes' walk from the renowned, award-winning wedding venue of Newton Hall and just 100 metres from the well-known Joiner's Arms gastropub. The house is also just a ten-minute stroll from three of the best beaches on the stunning Northumberland coast. The Ship Inn at Low Newton has been voted by The Times as one of the best coastal pubs in the country, serving locally caught seafood and home grown produce as well as a selection of real ales from its on-site microbrewery. We offer full-week stays starting Monday or Friday, 3-night weekend breaks starting on Friday, and 4-night midweek breaks starting on Monday. More

Although the house sleeps 8, a maximum of 6 adults is permitted. A travel cot (to use with your own cot bedding) is available on request. Leaholme Cottage is situated in the in the quiet picturesque village of High Newton-by-the-Sea, with access to three of the most stunning sandy beaches in Northumberland: Low Newton (St Mary's Haven), Newton Links (on Beadnell Bay), and Football Hole ('the secret beach'). It is located just yards from the highly renowned Joiner’s Arms and a ten-minute stroll to the famous Ship Inn. Both serve fresh, locally-caught seafood and regional produce. The nearby village of Embleton has a small shop / post office, petrol station, golf club, and three pubs. Inland, 20 minutes away, is the market town of Alnwick, famous for its castle and garden, where you will find a wide variety of shops, supermarkets, places to eat and other services.
Getting around
Bus service 418 runs southward to Alnwick via Embleton, Craster, and Lesbury, and northward to Berwick via Beadnell, Seahouses and Bamburgh, making day trips and one-way walks along the Northumberland Coast AONB very convenient. However, most visitors will prefer the convenience of a car allowing trips inland to the Northumberland National Park, Cragside, Kielder Water, Hadrian's Wall and Newcastle (just under an hour away).
