Sue is the consummate host, generous, thoughtful and quick with conversation and a laugh. Nothing is too much trouble. We felt like we had known her for years. The pictures of the property and room are accurate, but what they don't show is the beautiful suburb in which it is situated. Mature trees line the streets and touch over the road giving an archway effect and most houses in the suburb are vintage stone cottages, with an amazing Coffee Shop/ Cafe literally just around the corner. We stayed 8 nights and the location was fabulous - walking distance to Melbourne St eateries and pubs, Adelaide Oval - we watched an International 20/20 cricket match during our stay, botanic gardens, Museums, Art Galleries, Adelaide Zoo and much more. Cannot recommend highly enough. Thank you Sue for making our stay so memorable. Mark and Alison.

Brilliant!
A wonderful 4-night stay (was supposed to be 5 - thanks for the delays, Qantas) in this beautiful, cosy room, surrounded by a pool, trees and tropical shrubs. Sue and Bonnie were the consummate hosts, so kind and welcoming, with nothing being too much trouble. Sue even lent my grandchildren some great toys - so appreciated. Beautiful breakfasts on the sunny deck, a welcome basket with fruit and snacks, and even a packed lunch! Definitely planning another, and longer stay this time, if Qantas co-operates. Thank you Sue...you made my stay so memorable. Au revoir, till next time.

a most gorgeous retreat...
we stayed for WOMADelaide 2023.
Sue is a fabulous hostess- warm, engaging, helpful, knowledgeable - a lovely person to be around.
The BnB itself is very cute & comfortable in a green garden setting. Not once did we need to use the air con or overhead fan even during Adelaide's late summer/early Autumn heat, such is the foliage that envelopes the room... not to mention the lovely pool.
A really lovely & quite special experience ...

Home from Home
Possum's Rest is a gorgeous B & B situated in a quiet, leafy suburb yet in walking distance of wonderful restaurants and bars and beautiful Adelaide city.
Sue and Phil are the perfect hosts, providing warm and welcoming hospitality and an excellent breakfast!
Our room was very tastefully decorated, the bed extremely comfortable and had all the amenities that we needed. The sparkling pool was an added bonus on some very warm days.

Charming and comfortable in a garden setting and beautiful street.
Wonderful and accommodating hosts over our 5 night stay. Beautiful setting and so convenient in location with an easy walk through the nearby botanic gardens into the city. Welcoming basket of treats and fresh fruit, comfortable bed, enjoyable chats and exceptional breakfasts that prepared us well for the day's adventures. Keen to try the pool on our next visit (in warmer weather). Arrived as guests and left as friends. Thanks Sue and Phil. We will be back. Mike & Tess.

Simply lovely
The room is fitted beautifully, not a spider or speck of dust in sight. Caters for your entertainment, caters thoughtfully to any small appliance for cooking or heating. A beautiful view out into the yard you share with your hosts featuring a beautiful outdoor seating area, a pool and a seating area around the pool.
Location a short walk from the city and yet it is tucked away for ultimate relaxation.
But I did not love it for those reasons, although they contributed, Sue and Phil are absolutely wonderful, thoughtful, kind, personable and true blue hosts. There for your every need and they won’t let you go without.
I thank them so much for making my stay in Adelaide what it was. It truly feels as though I’ve developed a family away from home.
I would highly recommend Possom’s Rest for anyone travelling into the city of Adelaide.

All you could want so close to the city
Fantastic hosts with all sorts of little extras thrown in. The location is in walking distance to the city if you are fit but also buses nearby. The room is a little small, very clean and well fitted out however if the weather is fine you have access to the very pretty gardens with picnic table and pool which more than makes up for the space. Ample good eateries within easy distance while not going into the CBD. Breakfast are very good. I doubt if you could find a better B&B so close to the city; would stay again if in Adelaide.

A cosy retreat from the city
Possum's Rest is situated in a beautiful leafy suburb of Adelaide but within walking distance of the city. The accomodation is in a garden room with a shady terrace and swimming pool both of which offer welcome cooling after a day's walking or cycling.
Breakfast is served on the terrace accompanied by bird song.
The hosts are amazing and extremely helpful, and we felt like good friends within a very short time.
We'd come back any time.

Quiet Retreat
We spent a lovely 3 nights with Sue & Phil our lovely welcoming hosts. Our room was adjoining the patio, which was a lovely place to eat a very good full English breakfast. Though small the room has everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The only downside was the small bathroom - it was difficult to get in and out of the shower with the door closed, however this didn't detract from a very enjoyable stay. They also booked us into the local pub for dinner and dropped us in town one night. And Sue's welcome basket and delicious home baked Anzac cookies went down a treat!
