Perfect location to explore Melbourne. Used the Space Hotel across the street as a destination for hotel transfer on the skybus and it worked out well to arrive at the apartment. Mel was very nice to check us in. All communication to reserve and check in and out was excellent. The loft apartment is comfortable-- couch, bed, shower are very nice. The kitchen isn't meant to be used, but is there if needed. Parking spot came in handy when we rented a car for a couple of days.

A few negatives: no hangers or much space to put clothes. We lived out of our suitcases for four nights. The large window lets in light and fresh air, but also a lot of noise -- traffic, construction, partygoers. Aforementioned lack of useable kitchen.

Otherwise, it's a comfy place to enjoy Melbourne.

1. Centrally located
2. Washer / Dryer - works great
3. Heaters - 2, but only one is needed to heat the entire place
4. TV - with enough channels to kill some time in between exploring the city
5. DVD player - although we did not use it, so can’t comment
6. Bed - comfortable, albeit a bit on the soft side, so can cause back problems if you spend more than a few days here
7. Good shower - good water pressure and plenty of hot water
8. Comfortable sofa
9. WiFi works without problems
10. Nice, safe, quiet building
11. Owner is quick to answer all emails


1. The apartment owner or someone, normally lives here, so a lot of the space is occupied with his personal stuff.
2. No closets and very little space to put your own personal stuff, so you are basically living out of your suitcase.
3. Because the fire alarms are so sensitive, the owner advices to either take the battery out of the fire alarm, or...

Thanks for staying with us. Yes this is my apartment and i live here sometimes when there are no bookings. My closet contains my clothing (minimal) and some of my personal items tucked away not getting the any guests way. There isn't a toaster for fire safety reasons as I host many guests every month to reduce the risk. My...

If you're not a fan of walking, there is a tram stop right outside the main entrance on LaTrobe St.

Most importantly, all trams within the city grid are FREE. Just look out for the 'FREE tram zone' signs.

No problems hitching a cab or getting on a bus on LaTrobe or Russell St if you would like to head out of the city.

If you plan to take a train, you're just a 5 minute walk away from the Melbourne Central station.

If you drive, we do have 1 FREE secured parking slot available for you.

If you happen to have more than 1 car, the nearest paid open parking lot is available at “REGAL PARKING” - 43 Mackenzie St which is just a minute
