Stonegate features a large light-filled formal living and dining areas with an open fire, a gourmet French farmhouse kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a huge casual living room with library room and cinema spilling out onto a three metre wraparound verandah.
Stonegate has all the features of a five star property including ducted air-conditioning, Blackbutt floorboards and three metre high ceilings. It even has a state of the art built in Bose sound system and Foxtel.
Stonegate can accommodate up to 14 guests comfortably.

TARIFF
Weekend - for up to 10 guests $1530 per night (Thu-Fri or Fri-Sat or Sat-Sun)
Midweek - for up to 10 guests $1148 per night (Mon-Thu)
Extra guests are charged at $100 per person per night.
Children under 13 years are charged at $64 per child per night.
Infants under 2 are free.
Please note that a $40 booking fee is applicable for all bookings made.
SECURITY DEPOSIT
A security deposit/bond of $1200.00 is required for your stay and is payable as a credit card pre-authorisation. This will be processed approximately 24 - 48 hours before your arrival, so please ensure the funds are available at this time.
LONGER STAYS
Please contact us for a customised quote for longer stays of 3 nights and over.
NOTES
A 1-night stay may be accepted at discretion of Management within 14 days of the prospective arrival date. A surcharge is applicable on the 1-night stay, this will be calculated by our staff and quoted to you before the booking is confirmed.
Weekend Public Holiday, Easter, Christmas, and New Year periods require a minimum 3 night stay full weekend rate.
Concert and special event weekends in the Hunter Valley will have a set minimum night requirement to stay and may attract a surcharge.
Please note, Stonegate has exterior security cameras to monitor the exterior of the home only for the protection of the property. Security cameras are commonplace at many of our rural properties. Footage is private and remains the property of the owner, and will only be used for insurance liability reasons, to monitor occupancy and other policies noted in our Terms & Conditions. They, in no way, are there to infringe upon the expectation of privacy of guests in these exterior areas. To disable or obscure the cameras is prohibited and may result in loss of security deposit or eviction.

Beautiful large farmhouse with external pool house accommodation. It was the perfect space to have a large family stay. Large inviting living areas and adjoining kitchen United all the guests, whilst the large house ensured there was plenty of space for guests to retire to and have some downtime. The pool and tennis court on the premises were great.
Excellent location to vineyards and Cessnock for supplies.

Son's wedding at Pokolbin
“We recently stayed at Stonegate for our sons wedding in Pokolbin. The first day/night at the property was for the Groom, father and groomsmen to relax and enjoy. The second night both bride and grooms families stayed together in the house after the wedding. What a wonderful location and property to come together as a family. We had so many wonderful comments on the choice of property - especially in respect of the extras this property offers with the pool, tennis, cabana etc.”

Lovely Hunter Valley Stay
A wonderfully maintained property for a large group for a weekend. Stonegate had everything we needed to make truly enjoyable stay. Both the adults and the grandchildren had a fantastic time.

Disappointing
A nice house but for the price disappointing. No wifi, no equipment to use tennis court, theatre setup not working, no hanging space or drawers in main bedroom, oven dials worn so can’t see temperature or settings, fridge too small for space so difficulty opening and closing door. A real let down in what could be a fantastic house!

We have shared your feedback in full with the owners, housekeeping and maintenance team for their attention. Stonegate is not advertised as having WiFi however, if requested, we are always happy to provide a dongle for your stay. We further purchased tennis racquets for you when advised you did not bring your own and we will leave these at the property for future guests. In-house theatres, if you’re not familiar with them, can sometimes need a helping hand and our after hours team are always on hand to assist. We will look into the integrated fridge and why the door was not easy for you to open and close. Thanks also for the feedback regarding additional hanging space and drawers in the main bedroom - great tip! Just to let you know maintenance has ordered a new dial plate for the oven, now understanding that this has worn. Does not live up to the advertisements.
There are cameras so the owners can watch your every move. Don't know if this is legal but certainly makes you feel the owner's want your money but don't want you in their house. The kitchen is small and shabby with very little bench space , no pantry space and inadequate fridge space. Equipped with cheap plastic platters , odd glasses and cheap crockery. Hardly the advertised gourmet kitchen. Bathrooms also inadequate for a 14 bed house with no vanities or anywhere to put toiletries. Would not recommend this house.

Thank you for your review Jenny, we are always happy to receive feedback and suggestions from guests to improve their experience whilst staying at Stonegate.
We do find your comments extremely disappointing and unjustified. We can only imagine you have chosen to review the property in this way because you were found in gross breach of this property’s Terms & Conditions by having an unapproved event and excessive number of guests attending.
The property has external security camera’s, which are very commonplace on rural properties, to monitor the grounds for security and safety - a passing member of staff notified us of the excessive amounts of cars and the owners have no interest in watching guests.
The gourmet kitchen and contents are in extremely good condition, many items newly provided and of high quality. Plasticware is supplied at the property for use around the pool as glass is not permitted for safety reasons. There is a large fridge and separate freezer catering very well to the capacity of the house. Equally, there are three bathrooms, all with place for toiletries.
As all previous reviews for this popular property will attest, guests are always complimentary of the facilities and the condition of Stonegate, and often returning or recommending this property to friends and family.
