At Nah Uxibal we have four sweet and romantic Casitas of Nah Uxibal that were newly remodeled at the end of Nov, 2017 and are right on the beach with incredible views. Soliman Bay is a gated, private community consisting of about 45 private homes. The turquoise Caribbean waters of Soliman are situated along the second largest Reef in the world, and are filled with corals and a wide variety of Sea life. Colorful schools of Fish, Rays, Sea Turtles, Puffers and Barracuda are just a few of the creatures that grace these waters. The water is calm thanks to the protective reef which runs between the two points of Soliman, providing safety from the open sea for the sea life as well as swimmers, kayakers and snorkelers. All this is just outside your door at Nah Uxibal. Casita Ka'an (Mayan for Sky) and Casita EK (Mayan for star) are the upper Casitas with wonderful views and a bit more privacy if you don't mind the stairs. All 4 casitas sit at the front of the property, just about 30 steps from the waters edge and have the same floor plans. You can't get any closer to the water than these romantic units with private decks and amazing ocean views. The casitas are perfect for honeymooners, anniversaries, or couples looking for a special getaway. About the neighbourhood
Located just a one hour and 15 minute drive south of the Cancun airport on a large 4 lane highway, Nah Uxibal is easy to find. Just fly into toCancun, rent a car or take a shuttle and head south through and away from the touristy Cancun and Playa del Carmen to the quiet shores of Soliman Bay. We are located just 10 minutes north of Tulum, and 10 minutes south of Akumal. The area around Nah Uxibal is rich with discovery and things to do. The Mayan Ruins of Tulum and Coba are minutes away, Centoes (the openings to the underground rivers of the Yucatan Pennisula) are abundant and refreshing. Dive, Snorkel, kayak, walk the beach, birds watch, beachcomb, golf, explore, or just hang out in the hammock and read. There is simply no other place in the world like the very special and unique Yucatan, the possibilities are endless. You'll love it.
Getting around
Weather renting a car is advisable depends on the type of vacation you would like to have. There is a lot to do and see in the area so if you are the adventuresome type it is nice to have the freedom of a car to explore the off the beaten track places and to come and go as you please. It is about a 10-15 minute drive into the town of Tulum. If you are planning on just a few trips to town to stock the fridge and dinner once or twice, and will mostly be hanging out on the beach (we have a wonderful beach) then a shuttle to and from the airport and taxis into town would work as well. We do have 3 restaurants within walking distance (2 long the beach and one at the highway) and a small connivence store for basic essentials here on the bay.
