About the neighbourhood
Vidiciatico, in the municipality of Lizzano in Belvedere, is located in the Bolognese Apennines in an area at the border between Emilia Romagna and Tuscany. Set in the steep hills on the north edge of the Corno alle Scale Regional Park, Vidiciatico is an attractive village which offers all the facilities required by those on holiday. Its little square, overlooked by an ancient campanile, has a drinking fountain to which local people come from miles around because the water is so pure. There is a tourist information office and a variety of shops supplying everything one needs for self-catering. Every week a large, colourful street market offers locally grown fresh fruit and vegetables as well as many interesting bargains. For eating there is a good range of hotels, restaurants, cafes and...
How to get there
From Bologna Airport follow directions to Casalecchio di Reno, then take road 'SS64 Porrettana' towards Porretta Terme. Drive on for about one hour, then turn right to Silla. In Silla, at the traffic lights, turn right to Lizzano in Belvedere - Vidiciatico. From Pisa Airport follow directions to Pistoia, then to Porretta Terme. After little town Porretta Terme, when you are in Silla, turn left to Lizzano in Belvedere - Vidiciatico. It is possible to hire a car at the airports. From Bologna main railway station - platforms 4-5 West - there are trains to Porretta Terme every hour. Get off in Silla. From Silla there are buses to Lizzano in Belvedere - Vidiciatico all day. We can collect you at Silla station.
