Coach House Cottage provides modern accommodation which is still full of character. It's a detached cottage with a small secluded garden. We continue to follow enhanced cleaning regimes to ensure you have a safe, as well as a comfortable, stay. Coach House Cottage is next door to The Snug (ID 286354), both are detached cottages tucked up a quiet lane in the small village of Innellan, Argyll. Coach House Cottage was originally a coach house (as you can guess from the name!) & there are still many original features dotted around, such as the cast iron hay feeder for the horses and the large arched window which once allowed access for the coaches. Upstairs you’ll find a bright living room with smart TV, and a twin bedroom, both of which have lovely views over the lane to the hills beyond. On the ground floor is the dining kitchen, the newly fitted bathroom and the large master bedroom. Coach House Cottage is tucked up a quiet lane in the village of Innellan which lies just a few miles south of the popular tourist town of Dunoon - itself just over an hour from Glasgow. There is a shop, post office, restaurant and village pub all within walking distance. We are happy to provide a travel cot, stair gate and high chair. Up to two dogs are also very welcome, but please let us know when you enquire that you would like to bring your four-legged friend along with you, thanks! Free Wi-fi. Available for full weeks, short breaks and long stays. Only an hour from Glasgow, yet a world away, Coach House Cottage is the perfect getaway, whether you've a fortnight or just a weekend to spare - and we'd love to welcome you!More

The Coach House... A wonderful place we called our own for 7 days! Could have easily stayed longer, so tranquil and relaxing, felt so comfortable and safe, the house was spotless and fresh... We have stayed at Katie's other property, 'The Snug" a few times and as a host she's wonderful, very friendly and informative, nothings a problem, she also left us fresh eggs from her hens... Made a couple of great omlettes,, (even though I say so myself) 😊 Innellan is such a lovely peaceful place to stay, great walks and only 5 miles from Dunoon, we walked in a couple of times with our dog and went to the Lorne restaurant/bar for dinner they have a table right next to the bar that allows dogs, but I would pre-book so not disappointed. We will defiantly be back soon ❤️❤️

We'd not stayed in this part of Scotland before but took the recommendation of a friend to visit Cowal which is in the west of Scotland. I'm very glad that we took the chance to head here for our post lockdown short break! This cottage was perfect for us, we're a couple but the extra bedroom meant we had lots of space to spread out. The owner told us it used to be an old coach house (hence the name I guess!) and there's still evidence of this with big double coach doors in the bedroom and an old hay feeder and horseshoes. I can't fault the cleanliness of the cottage and although we were asked if we minded coming in an hour later than usual (4pm) so there could be extra cleaning done because of Covid it was worth it as the house was spotless. There's a beach down the lane from the cottage and we enjoyed a couple of nice strolls there after being out for the day, though weren't as brave as some people we saw swimming! There was nothing we can think of that the cottage was missing, we would be happy to recommend it to other people who would like to come and explore this bit of Scotland. Although we couldn't explore as much of the area as we'd have liked due to the cicumstances (though did make it to the Benmore Botanic Gardens which we'd recommend) we hope very much to book up the cottage and to come again next summer.

About the neighbourhood
Innellan itself is a quiet little village with a community owned shop, post office, restaurant/bar and a lively village hall. The cottages are tucked up a small lane which is next to the sea, and there are a miles of forest walks where you can hike for hours without seeing another person! TENNIS: We're lucky enough to have a friendly tennis club only a minute's walk from Coach House Cottage ! If you would like to book a tennis court whilst you're here then please let me know and I’ll be happy to arrange it for you. The cost is £3pp (donation to the club) There's SO much to see and do in Cowal that it would be hard to list it all here - so if you would like more information on the region, just let me (Katie) know!
Getting around
There's a great bus service with a bus stop only a couple of minutes walk from the cottage. The bus runs into the town of Dunoon and to lots of beautiful local villages, and there's even a dedicated stop at the breathtaking Botanic Gardens. If you're travelling by car then there are a huge number of possibilities for days out and sightseeing - just let me (Katie) know if you'd like any suggestions.
