Belize is home to the largest barrier reef in the western hemisphere and therefore most people come to take advantage of the superior diving and snorkeling sites found close by - the Blue Hole, Hol Chan Reserve, Mexico Rocks and more. Sunset Beach is fortunate to have an excellent guiding service located directly behind the condominium complex who can take you on any type of adventure you desire! Swimming and snorkeling from the end of our pier is really good. We have a ladder to get you in and out of the water and buoys to mark areas designated for swimming. We have created an artificial reef by filling under the dock with lots of rocks. The fish love this area and sometimes even the harmless nurse sharks come around to feed on the small fish. There is a nice area called “Secret Beach” about an hour away by golf cart that is excellent for swimming - the best on the island! More
