A beautiful room in a charming old colonial home at a great location. The home has two stand alone units (a COTTAGE and APARTMENT) in very spacious leafy grounds. ACCOMMODATION AT KILORANHOUSE The two units: COTTAGE and APARTMENT have 2 double and 7 single beds and an optional sofa double bed. The COTTAGE, with a private garden, has 3 bedrooms: master en suite with a queen bed and bathroom with jaccuzzi - SLEEPS TWO; twin bedroom with two single beds - SLEEPS TWO; loft bedroom with single bed and PRIVATE toilet – SLEEPS ONE. OPTIONAL Sofa bed - SLEEPS TWO ($ 30/night). They all share living room, kitchen and garden. Loft and twin share bathroom and toilet. The APARTMENT with stunning balcony garden view, has 3 bedrooms: Prime bedroom with king DOUBLE BED and bay window has private bathroom with shower - SLEEPS TWO; twin with TWO STANDARD BEDS - SLEEPS TWO PLUS an optional 3rd bed ; single STANDARD bed bedroom - SLEEPS ONE; The twin and the single share bathroom and toilet. The three share kitchen, living room and balcony. Extra person or bed per room are charged $ 20. Infant (0-3 yrs) staying with parents USD 20 DISCOUNTS, 15% weekly and 30% monthly are reflected in the posted prices. DETAILED SERVICES AND TERMS. Kiloranhouse is a few minutes’ walk from the City centre in a leafy Nairobi suburb, but it is so uncharacteristically out of town that one is momentarily transported into the wild, complete with trees and flowers. The COTTAGE, about 100 years old, is a under tree canopy with a private garden with mahogany settees and surrounded by a hedge. It has cedar wood floors and ceramic tiles on kitchen top and bathrooms. The shared bathroom is adjacent to a kitchen with a mahogany top central island. Further on is a landing with a toilet on the left. Natural wood railings staircase leads to a Loft bedroom with own toilet and lovely view of greenery. To the right of landing is the living room with a sofa bed and a reading desk and doors leading into the garden on the right and two bedrooms on the left: master en suite with Jacuzzi and the twin. In keeping with the need for quietness, no television set is provided. The APARTMENT : Cedar wood staircase leads to a living room with curved ceiling and on to cedar wood balcony with a stunning view of the garden. The long table there can be used for dining, work table or for meetings. Silhouetted lights at balcony corners give a romantic feel in the evening. The Prime bedroom has a king bed with bay window with a beautiful view of the garden. The en suite toilet has overhead shower. The second bedroom has two beds while the third has a single bed. The single and twin share one bathroom and a toilet. The three share kitchen, fridge, living room and balcony. TERMS: Commencement: These terms commence on the date of the communication notifying me your accommodation acceptance. To secure DIRECT booking with us, we need non-refundable deposit of 25% stay cost plus refundable $ 100 property deposit. Acceptance of offer implies you accept House rules below. HOUSE RULES All guests to sign Guest Register No smoking Not suitable for pets No parties or events Check-in is after 10 AM 1. There is a charge of US $ 20 for an extra guest in the bedroom above the two stated. 2. To avoid scratching polyurethane vanished wooden floor: a) Lift! This little gem is in a nice quiet spot even with ongoing construction around the area. The room was sufficient for my needs as I did a lot of travelling. Good wifi connection which is a bonus, security guards were also very good and looked...More
