We spent a wonderful holiday here, the house was awesome, lovely decorated and felt like a true home. The surroundings are super quiet with beautiful nature around and lots of stars at night. The most relaxed holiday we‘ve ever had :) thank you so much

Quaint, cozy, newly decorated and updated bathrooms. Ideal place for adults and older children. There are lots of breakable nic-nacs & antique furniture, as well as the stairs are quite steep, so I caution our place for the frail, elderly, or small children (see picture #8 for stairs).
We now have upgraded Wifi and local cable TV. There is a small TV in the den, with DVD/VCR players, and some movies available, so bring your favorite movies, as well as a good book if you plan to stay in and relax! . There are some board games and cards available also.

A beautiful house with the most friendliest hosts you could ever wish to meet. If you like the countryside, this is the ideal retreat, although a car is a must. A quaint, cosy old house with all the necessary mod cons.

About the neighbourhood
We are only 20 minutes to the fishing village of Jonesport and Beals Island, 30 minutes to the college town of Machias, 45 minutes to the famous Bar Harbor, 1 1/2 hours to Bangor, and Roosevelt's Summer Home on Campobello Island. There is a local dock/ town landing about 5 minutes away, where you can fish or hire a boat to take you out to catch lobster. The Old Historic Ruggles' home is 10 minutes away and available for touring (check hours).
Our property sits on the front part of a wooded 10 acres, with a seasonal small creek. Hike at your own risk, or just relax and catch a view of the eagles that love to sit in the trees out back.
Our home is available during the summer, through the first 2 weeks of October for the 'fall peepers' to come see the beautiful foliage.
