Bayside Bure (bungalow/cottage) is located at Lesiaceva Point - 6kms from Savusavu town (a 10 minute drive along the side of the picturesque Bay)..... and just a stone's throw away from the famed Jean Michel Cousteau Resort. Savusavu is on Vanua Levu, a one hour domestic flight from Nadi Airport. The bure sits on a grassy knoll overlooking the crystal clear waters of Savusavu Bay. A golden sandy beach is just across the narrow road and is only 40 steps or so from the front door. Lush foliage separates the bure from the owner's house which sits high on the hill behind. All linen including towels is supplied. Sky TV is a bonus for those wanting to keep up with the news and a DVD player is available for entertainment on those lazy days. A radio/CD player with a limited selection of CDs is also provided. Wake to the sound of chirping birds in the morning and choose from either the covered deck in front of the kitchen or the open sundeck adjoining the bedroom to enjoy alfresco dining. Relax on the deck during the day with a good book and listen to the waves breaking onto shore or sit out on the lawn and watch the doves and parrokeets in the vaivai tree above. Watch the seaplanes land at the Cousteau Resort jetty or just be lucky enough to witness the frolics of dolphins or whales in the Bay. During May to October/November watch the yachts come and go.... Spectacular sunsets are almost a daily event so be sure to bring your camera.. NOTE: The owners respond to 100% of all enquiries however due to time differences between countries there can be delays in responses. Bookings were closed off in 2017 due to excessive construction noise from neighbours which has now ceased. The bure underwent refurbishment early 2018 with the addition of a partial roof cover over the sundeck and new lattice screening for privacy. AMENITIES Bathroom - The bathroom with hot water shower opens onto the deck for easy access from the beach and to accommodate sandy feet. Laundry - the laundry forms part of the bathroom and is equipped with an automatic washing machine, stainless steel washtub, iron and ironing board. Kitchen - The compact kitchen sits separately from the bedsitter (a bonus as cooking odours do not go into furnishing or clothing), and opens on to the covered deck with picture window looking out to the Bay. A servery is on the walkway between the studio and kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with fridge/freezer, full stove, electric frypan, microwave, toaster, hot water jug, blender, sandwich maker, crockery and cutlery. Basic pantry STARTER supplies such as salt, pepper, sugar, tea and milk are provided as well as basic cleaning agents, toilet paper and soap. A double and a single kayak are provided for guest use. Swimming is best at high tide right in front of the bure - bring reef shoes to avoid coral cuts. Amazing snorkelling is right out front or at the famed Split Rock a few minutes from the bure. A guest compendium with helpful information on bure facilities and Savusavu is provided. NOTE: Smoking (of any kind) is not permitted on the premises.....More

Lesiaceva Point is one of the prettiest areas in Savusavu with deep water and a golden sandy beach. Swim and snorkel at high tide in crystal clear water or just take a long leisurely walk along the beach under the palm trees. .
Getting around
Bus services from town to Bayside Bure are regular throughout the day and fares are very reasonable. Bus cards can be purchased in town. Taxis are easily accessible by phone. There are also three rental car companies in Savusavu.
