Very peaceful stay just outside Ubud. Beautiful surroundings, lovely accommodation, welcoming hosts. Enjoyed cooking lesson, tours and good nights' sleep. Thoroughly recommend if you want to get away from it all.

About the neighbourhood
Pesalakan Pejeng is the location of the ancient Hindu Kingdom that came over in the 6th century. Hidden meditation chambers and temples are scattered along the Kris River just walking distance away. Ask Putri to show you the way. Enjoy quiet walking paths (on foot or bike) along the irrigation systems and small country roads lead from village to village. Nearby, there is a small local market and several ancient temples where you can meet the locals and enjoy their countless smiles and daily rituals. As a Hindu race, people are very giving and non-threatening to heighten their karma. They love showing you their culture and sharing the ongoing ceremonies. You may even be invited to help harvest the rice.
