The Taru Villa River Cottage was a nice place to quarantine after arriving in Sri Lanka. The sunrises and sunsets were beautiful! The villa has two bedrooms and the interior design of them was lovely and they were clean. The bathrooms were very spacious. The common living room area and kitchen were very spacious and also beautifully decorated. The internet was slow to begin with but we spoke to manager Anjana (who was very helpful through out our stay) and this issue was quickly resolved. The food prepared by Chef Rohan Pitters and Chef Chaminda was amazing! Absolutely amazing! Some of the best food we’ve had in Sri Lanka! The food presentation was beautiful and they really knew how to balance the flavours. Our family has many dietary restrictions and this was no issue. The staff (Lahiru and Ruwan to mention a few) were very professional and friendly. The birds at the cottage and near the cottage were beautiful! We also saw some reptiles. We highly recommend staying at the River Cottage by Taru Villas.
