The Emir Sea was part of the Mina Hotel (Tapestry Holidays) and was converted into apartments in 2006/7. Fully equipped & decorated tastefully throughout with air-con in all bedrooms & lounge. There are 2 shower rooms added more recently (one being en-suite). There is an IPod docking station for use in the lounge area along with free WIFI throughout. A water cooler and safe has been installed for guests use. Part of the Emir complex consisting of only 19 apartments in 4 blocks, Sea is on the ground floor of the top block in a more tranquil setting overlooking Kalkan town and bay beyond. Sea has its own patio & garden which is secure so that young children can't wander and is ideal for sunbathing and open air dining. The property is managed 24/7 on site so keys collected on arrival and English speaking help is on hand if needed. Sheets and towels changed every 3 days and bins emptied daily.

Lovely apartment and complex

The apartment is all on one level consisting of two bedrooms. 1 double with a king sized bed and 1 twin bedded ensuite room, open plan dining and lounge area with adjoining kitchen and a large shower room with basin and toilet.The bedrooms and living area have air conditioning. There is a hair dryer in each room.The twin bedded room is large and also has a 6ft 'Put u Up' single bed which is ideal for a child or adult. All kitchen appliances are Bosch. The bathroom was refurbished in 2012 and there is a new en suite in the 2nd bedroom for 2015.Facilities for Babies can be provided through a local company. I can also assist with a' Baby sitting service' with an experienced sitter who will meet you and the children beforehand.

About the neighbourhood
Kalkan is an old fishing port with a pretty harbour to which all roads lead.It has kept many of its old town charms with original buildings containing bars, restaurants, shops. There are things to do at all times of the day and night in Kalkan suitable for all ages. Getting around on foot, by taxi, by boat or Dolmus allows visitors to enjoy the attractions on the Old Town, nearby Kalamar with its beach clubs and water sport facilities, sea fishing, visiting Patara beach or a shopping trip to Fetiye or nearby Kas.
How to get there
Dalaman is the most convenient airport, served by several charter airlines from airports all over the UK. Antalya is an alternative but it is a long 3 to 4 hour journey but with spectacular coastal views.Since the new tunnel was opened the journey time by road from Dalaman to Kalkan has significantly reduced to approx 1 hour 30 mins.Car hire is available at the airport and the journey is very straightforward being a main road until the outskirts of Kalkan. We can arrange a taxi transfer from and to Dalaman airport to meet you at any time, payable locally in sterling during your stay at the Kalkan Sun Travel office next to Kaya restaurant.
