Two large well-appointed bedrooms each offer a queen size bed, down comforters, high quality linens and private closet. Each bedroom has it's own private patio where one can soak in the beauty of sunrises and sunsets while surrounded by birds, butterflies and flowers. The spacious bathroom offers a large walk-in rain shower while viewing the myriad of greens outdoors. Located 10 minutes from town you feel lost in your own world. Best Week of Our lives
My family and I absolutely enjoyed every second of our time at this magical mountain retreat. The house is spacious with plenty of room to spread out. The kitchen has everything you need and the knives are actually sharp. The true magic of this place lies outside the windows, though. Waking up to the birds singing to each other, sipping coffee as the agouti sneak thought the gardens, and watching the deluge of humming birds zoom through the garden on their own aerial dogfight for the best flowers is one of the most magical experiences of my life. THE GARDEN! Oh the garden! Avocados, mangos, coffee, passion fruit, bananas, oranges, limes, lemons, just to name a few. The owner has created her own Biomuseo of Panama with the curation of this garden. You can stroll the walking paths for weeks finding a new flower or bloom with every pass. Swinging in the hammock under the covered garden patio, watching the clouds streak across the Vulcan Baru as my family painted was truly relaxing. We explored town and had adventures planned most days (very short trip to town), but my favorite times of the trip were spent with my sandals on roaming the property, taking in the view, and finding all the hidden orchids that permeate every nook and cranny of any tree that will have them.
10/10 will visit again.

Magical!!!!
Wonderful place to experience Boquete!!! Beautiful location with amazing views!
House was welcoming and a great place to stay, relax and enjoy. We were welcomed by owner and the felt right at home!
Every day the view was magical and incredible as it changed with clouds and sun. A must see!!! The property created additional beauty that was incredible... I wish I could stay forever......We will visit again!!!

If youre looking for a vacation spot in Boquete....this is it!!! Book it now! This location is quietly tucked away but just minutes from wonderful dining! Beautiful peaceful tranquil and a bit of heaven on earth! We were torn between staying all day at the casita because its so beautiful and sightseeing!!! Mary Ellen is a sweetheart and provides everything you might need! We made some wonderful memories here and plan to visit again! Perfect❤❤❤ if you want to wake up to breathtaking views no matter where you look! Totally in love with this place. Thank you Mary Ellen for sharing paradise with us!

Why would you stay anywhere else?!
First off, why would you visit Boquete and stay in a hotel?! Alba Verde is better than home away from home. Mary has decorated the place perfectly. It is roomy and cozy at the same time. And Mary is awesome! She is most helpful and very knowledgeable about Boquete. Make sure you book a few days and enjoy being home away from home!

Highly recommend!!!
There is so much to say about our stay about Alba Verde and our fabulous hostess, Mary Ellen. The area is stunning and cared for with love. Our casita was very comfortable and clean with a great advantage of having a neighbor who does the BEST massages. Getting around town is so easy and very reasonable. Mary Ellen is a walking Zagat with her information on the wonderful local places to eat. We hiked daily and the people we met were so friendly. We will definitely come back!!

The serenity at Alba Verde was beyond description
This was our third trip to Panama and Boquete, and the best trip ever. We stayed at Alba Verde for 12 nights. While Mary Ellen, the owner, described her rental in glowing terms, her description, while objectively accurate, did not come close to describing our experience. Whenever venturing out and about, we always found ourselves wanting to return to this serene place, to just sit and enjoy the scenery, the wonderful accommodations, the birds, the incredible weather, and the ambiance that Mary Ellen has created. This is a mountain top paradise.

Awesome location in a beautiful coffee farm
We spent a week at the house in December 2016. Great location, wonderful host and surrounded by all kinds of fruit trees. Off the beaten path with great views in all directions. Home is well fitted out. Kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. Plenty of hot water and comfy beds. The decor was perfect and just well thought out. House was very clean as well. Had numerous conversations with the gardener and heard his thoughts of the property. The bird watching on the front porch was wonderful and we spent a lot of time just watching, drinking coffee, and doing very little. The host Cat was very helpful and answered all our questions and gave us local insight regarding the community.

Slice of Heaven
The Guesthouse was a spectacular place to stay. A paradise only 15 minutes to the main square in Boquete. The landscaping is perfection, as is the general setting of the property in the mountains. Colorful birds and insects abound. The sky provides the perfect panorama of shifting colors and night time stars. The house itself is well built and up to western standards. Very comfy beds and living room sitting area. On top of all this the host Mary Ellen is a sweetheart. Full of energy and enthusiasm for her Panama lifestyle. I really cant say enough good things about the Alba Verde Guesthouse. It was the best part of my 17 day trip to Panama!

Excellent getaway location
Beautiful cabin in the mountains above Boquete. Only a 10 minute drive from Boquete, far enough to seem private and remote but close enough for restaurants and shops. Cabin and grounds are well maintained and surrounded by beautiful views. Great trip!

Views, birds, flora, fauna & AVOCADOS...& more!
This peaceful haven was so incredible! Everthing was as promised & more. Grounds are private, quiet with a constant sound of birds chirping, wind chimes swaying with the light breeze & amazing air that smells like flowers blooming. A magical place to relax, be one with nature, a sweetheart or a good book.
Our host is an artist with an eye for detail. Colorful flowers in bloom all around in greenery as well as citrus trees & coffee bushes. Watching the clouds cross over the Volcan Baru is a sight to behold from this location. Seeing the sun rise & set from our casita are views that must be seen for yourself. All the extra amenities only added to our fabulous experience. I hope to return again one day to see & feel this beauty at this hidden treasure in the highlands of Boquete. It seems like we were far far away from it all & yet the town was just 15 minutes away on a picturesque drive down the mountain. I only wish we could have stayed longer.

About the neighbourhood
This tranquil area of Alto Quiel is the best coffee growing area of Boquete. We are above the town of Boquete just under 5000 feet in altitude and on the side of the volcano Volcan Baru. A walk into town allows for incredible vistas, bird-watching, and a chance to see how the locals live their sweet life here. We are only minutes away from some of the best hiking trails. <BR>Our property is located within an exclusive coffee "finca" (producing farm) and includes orange, lime, banana, and avocado trees from which the guest can enjoy fruit fresh from the trees. The entire property is covered in flowers and many of the over 900 species of birds for whom Panama is famous.

How to get there
Arriving in Panama via Panama City one can get to Boquete by either private car, bus or plane. The nearest airport is David, Panama.<BR>Flights from the International airport to David (45 minute flight) can be made via Copa Airlines. Flights from the Regional Airport in Panama City can be made via Air Panama. One can rent a car either at the airport in David, Panama or in the town of Boquete. <BR>We have several local taxis that can be used in lieu of a car rental. Typical costs of a taxi range around $10.00 from town up to the property.<BR><BR>If one takes the bus from Panama City to David, the time varies from 7-8 hours drive, then another bus ride from David to Boquete of around one hour. The cost of riding the bus is approximately $20.00.
