The owner was very helpful, and tried to make it a good experience. There were a few problems. The first day we lost the electrical and water for half a day. We called the owner and she had it fixed promptly. There was only one bottle of drinking water. Should have been a backup. Again we called the owner and she had a bottle sent out in short time. The property description did not warn us that the unit lacked a water heater. Owner said you do not need one. This is Guayaquil. We disagree. This is a luxury home in a gated community. We should be able to assume hot water, unless otherwise noted. Listing said 5 bathrooms. there was 3.5. Listing said the home was 4.3 kilometers from the airport. was more like 12 kilometer. Every time we went to town it cost $10 for a cab.
It has been 7 days and we have not got our damage deposit back. We left the place in perfect condition. I do not like someone holding my money indefinitely.
