Planning a trip to Kodai, Choose Maruti Villa

We were a group of 6 people who stayed at Maruthi Villa from 5th September to 12th September for workation. The location, villa view, property was really beautiful. It's a perfect place for vacation & workation. Nested on the mountain top overlooking the lake, this cozy villa is the best place to stay. Its proximity to all the shops is an added advantage. The first floor of the house gives you a breathtaking view of the lake. Don't forget to sit in the couch and have a sip of coffee/tea early in the morning. Arjun the host is a gem. He takes care of everything to ensure that the guests have a memorable time spent. Rite from suggesting places to visit, places to shop places to dine, road condition, traffic, he is a mini google for kodaikanal. Thanks a lot Arjun for giving our group a lifetime memorable experience. If you ask those 4 walls of the villa they will tell you how much fun & laughter we had during our stay. Maruti villa is gonna be my place to stay in kodai forever.

Kodaikanal’s best home stay

If you are looking for a heritage apartment with first class hospitality look no further . This is the place . Arjun is a very nice host . His choice of books options of games the way the rooms are laid are impeccable and in very fine taste . This summer vacation has been made memorable by him and his family. The catering that he has organised is very delicious as well.

Looking for a home stay . Don't look for other options. Close your eyes and go for it...Wonderful stay and hospitality

First of all thanks to Mr.Arjun and his family for a wonderful hospitality. They will always interact with us and understand our needs and made us comfortable during the stay. I went with my 5 months old baby,The host Mr.Arjun and his family made everything comfortable for us and took additional care for our family.I have visited too many places and stayed in many home stays But haven't experienced a home stay feeling and comfortable like this and such a sweet home stay . The property is awesome and near to lake and view from the property is mesmerising. The property is more than 100 years old and they are maintaining it very neat and they are making sure the property is cleaned every day .For us the stay in kodaikanal without this home stay won't be fullfilled. 24 hrs hot water is available.10 mins walk to lake.Lot of restaurants are nearby and Mr.Arjun will also arrange the home cooked food for a reasonable rate.Thanks Mr.& Mrs.Arjun for making our stay comfortable and making it a memorable one. Definitely will visit and stay in your property when ever visiting Kodai.

Pleasant stay at Maruti Villa

Visited Kodaikanal for 2 days. We had a really pleasant experience at this homestay. The owners are nice people and live at the property. They arranged bonfire for us at night which was awesome since it was really cold at night. Food is available on demand and dominos also delivers. It is a good stay for people who are visited in groups or with family. The view is nice since it is at a hilltop. They also arrange for cabs if you dont have your own transportation. Highly recommended to visit this place.

Excellent Well maintained Apartments at Kodaikanal

We had stayed in this apartment with our family for 2 nights during 3rd Week April 19. This is very near to Lake Area, 10 minutes walk. We booked the apartments basing on Trip Adviser Reviews. Thanks to Trip adviser. Mr. Arjun the owner of the property and the caretaker was very kind and polite. This Apartment in GF consists of 2 spacious Bed rooms with attached Toilet and a small kitchen, In case you would like to prepare meals You can take the vessels from Arjun and start. Good amenities provided. From the apartments we can have a shell view of the Kodaikanal Lake. Tea, Breakfast Lunch and Dinner available at request. (both Vegetarian and Non vegetarian). Bed quality is very good. The apartment is well maintained. You have first floor wherein good number of books provided for reading. Carom Board is also there. Everything is good and we enjoyed except: The Drive way to the apartment from Lake is not good.... only stones and mud formed as a road...As a result when there was heavy rain on both the days we stayed, we had a bit problem in reaching the cottage...We also discussed this with Mr. Arjun, who promised to take up with the Local Authorities. Overall a Memorable stay...

Perfect and Cozy Stay

It was a last minute decision to travel to Kodai and I happy that I chose this place to stay. The best part of the travel was the serenity of the stay here. It had just taken me to the solitude of peace and nature. The food - Fresh vegetables cooked like at home with love.I am really excited and would really recommend this place to everyone for their vacation if in the Kodai.

A dreamy stay in the Kodai Hills

We stayed at Maruti Villa for 4 nights and 5 days. It was such a pleasant stay that we felt like the vacation should never end. It's an heritage property hosted by very warm Host. A very homely feeling. Would surely plan a trip again...

Spacious, comfortable stay with an attentive host and beautiful view!

I stayed in Kodai for three days with my husband and two adult children. Arjun’s place is a 10 minute walk from the lake which meant it had beautiful views and a homey, less busy feeling. We had lots of room to spread out and relax. The photos don’t do it justice. In factt, there was more space than promised. Arjun was available whenever we needed advice or had questions about the town. He arranged to have our laundry done for a nominal fee and was EXTREMELY flexible and accommodating about travel dates when we were later arriving than we had anticipated due to unforeseen circumstances. Our whole family would highly recommend this town and Arjun’s place.

Absolute Perfection

Maruti Villa is an amazing guesthouse / homestay in a gorgeous heritage building up on the hill in Kodaikanal. Its away from the hustle and bustle but still easy walking to town etc. and has the most exceptional view. The rooms are huge, there is a kitchen, great garden, beautiful communal lounge upstairs with an exceptional view, comfortable seating and lots of games. Arjun was a wonderful, friendly host who went out of his way to help us. 10/10 !

Old Upper Lake road on the lake valley.The road is mostly has private bungalows and a few resorts. Its calm and peaceful though its very close to the town center. You can walk down to the lake and the sight seeing route starts behind the property

The Villa is about 900 mts from the lake entrance, there are a quite a few shops and restaurants near the lake. The main bazzar and bus stand is about 2 KMs from the property. You will need a taxi or car to go around the sightseeing point no matter where you stay at kodai :)..
