We paid for our stay, but weren’t able to actually use the property. A rain and thunderstorm began as we arrived in Panajachel and we were forced to find alternative accommodation, since taking a boat and climbing up to the house was out of the question. We weren’t able to get a refund, given that it was a last minute issue, but had we known what the weather is like in the area this time of year, I wouldn’t have booked this stay. I guess this is a buyer beware message. We did find a wonderful place to stay in Panajachel, but the money loss was very frustrating.
