This is the prime property on the estate and is normally occupied by the owner from Nov-Feb. The house is full of antiques and therefore children under 14 are not allowed. There are three bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living and dining rooms, large kitchen and enormous balcony and patio areas to enjoy a sunset BBQ. There is a swimming pool for all the guests on the estate to enjoy. At the pool area there is a BBQ with a covered eating area. Also a two story building that is great for bird watching.

There is a lovely man called Ramos who is the caretaker of the property. He will meet you at the dock upon your arrival and show you to the house. He works during the day. There are two local ladies who clean the houses and they work on Mondays and Thursday. One of them, Manuela is alsoavailable for preparing food and extra cleaning at an additional cost.
I am generally around my business at La Iguana Perdida but not at the property.
Children under the age of 12 are not allowed in this house due to amount of antiquities that are there. You can smoke outside but not in the house. Please can pets sleep outside.

About the neighbourhood
Lake Atitlan is one of the most beautiful places on earth and Santa Cruz is on the northern shore of the lake. One looks across the lake to the three volcanoes that are to the south and it is unbelievably stunning. Santa Cruz is only accessible by boat and there tuk tuks up to the village. One has to walk a fair amount in Santa Cruz to the local restaurants but the paths are safe and stunning.
It is easy to jump onto a boat and go and discover the other villages around the lakeshore.
Car not needed
How to get there
Airport: Guatemala City: 148.0 km
Ferry: Xepoj: 0.2 km
I can easily arrange ground transportation at very reasonable prices from anywhere in Guatemala. If you are arriving at Guatemala City airport I will need the details of your flight so that the driver will know to wait if your plane in delayed. The ride from the city generally takes between 2.5-3 hours to Panajachel. Once in Panajachel the shuttle will take you via some shops where you can to buy provisions. Afterwards the driver can take you to a private boat from Panajachel to Santa Cruz (generally $20) where Ramos will meet you on the dock and show you to the estate.
