Curious village, situated 15 km from Terras de Bouro, in the Parque Nacional da Peneda-Geres, Geres Campo is also known as St. John Field. It is a traditional village with narrow streets and stone houses, which houses the Ethnographic Museum of Vilarinho das Furnas, which aims to preserve the memory of the village submerged by the construction of the dam of the same name in 1972.
