Casa Lumi is a delightful villa furnished to a high standard to offer our clients the best comfort and elegance. It is a haven of tranquility and relaxation surrounded by a large garden with orange, lemon, olive and walnut trees with amazing views of the mountains and countryside. Activities close by in the National Park of Geres, boats for hire, boat trips, water sports, horse-riding, trekking, bird watching, jeep safari trips and many more. The local church (opposite the villa) has traditional festivals throughout the year. A natural water fountain with fresh mountain water is just a short stroll away and is suitable for drinking water, wonderful scents of pine and eucalyptus fill the air along the way. Wonderful villa in a peaceful setting!

Perfect getaway

We had a fantastic week at Casa Lumi, we visited the lakes and found the waterfalls (although very narrow road to get there). Braga city was great for shops, cafes and sightseeing. Relaxing by the private pool was good. Local restaurants offer really good food...More

About the neighbourhood
Good location for either visiting the Historical city of Braga with the Se Cathedral, trendy shops, cafes and restaurants. Close to the train station with trains direct to Porto riverside to sample the Port wine along the River Douro. In the other direction, head towards the Peneda Geres National Park for scenery, walking, horse riding, caving, paint ball, tree top walking, natural waterfalls or the Canicada lake for water sports, boat hire, pedalos and various water sport activities with a natural beach for sunbathing and taking a picnic
Getting around
There are 3 good restaurants all within walking distance of the villa. A van selling fresh bread and cakes arrives every morning around 8am, there are also weekly deliveries of fresh fish, fresh produce and frozen goods, you will hear their horn beeping when they arrive. There is a mini supermarket in the village (close to the Bem Cozinhado restaurant) and one at the bottom of hill near Casa Lumi (opening times are on the door). A larger supermarket Intermarche is in the town of Terras de Bouro (5 kms away).
