East Rhidorroch Estate is 9,600 acres of remote and unspoilt beautiful Scottish Highland scenery which is all there for you to enjoy. Come and watch the Red deer roaring, the salmon jumping and the eagles flying. Just switch off and enjoy the company of friends or family. This cosy cottage is perfect for a group looking for an idyllic Highland retreat. The west-facing dining area has breathtaking views down the glen which are particularly beautiful in the evening light. For warmer days beside the cottage there is a large walled garden and a table and chairs. Fishing for wild brown trout on the river and three lochs (with boats) is included in the rent. It's a perfect setting for hill walking, fishing, cycling or just a peaceful place to unwind with family and friends.***** NEW Wood fired...East Rhidorroch Estate is 9,600 acres of remote and unspoilt beautiful Scottish Highland scenery which is all there for you to enjoy. Interaction with guests
I can show you maps of the area and explain some walks on the estate or recommend places to go further afield. I can introduce you to some of the farm animals. We live in the cottage next door so can be there to help you, or just let you enjoy the peace and quiet the glen has to offer.

About the neighbourhood
East Rhidorroch estate is an excellent base for walking and photography holidays and is a haven for birds and other wildlife. One of the region's most remote Munros, Seana Braigh is accessible by foot directy from your accomadation. For more gentle walks there are various paths along the glen to the many waterfalls, woodland or to the bothy on the Estate. There is a wealth of different walks in the area perfect for enthusiasts, families, or dog owners depending on your ability and desire. We have many miles of tracks, roads and trails ready to explore on your mountain bike. The track leading through East Rhidorroch from Ullapool leads all the way to the East Coast affording some magnificent views and breathtaking experiences. How to get there
Coming from Inverness: Take the A9 north from Inverness to join the A835 to Ullapool. When you reach Ullapool, pass the fuel station on your right and follow the main road which turns sharp right. Continue north on this road for a further half mile then turn right into the Morefield Quarry entrance (just before bridge). From here, it is now an 8 mile private track, it's a mix of hard surface and tarmac, which is not suitable for low slung vehicles, Drive straight through the quarry and continue up through the glen. After the first four miles the road becomes a gravel track, continue for another four miles, through the black gate to the car park (flat grass area), walk across the swing bridge and 200 metres to East Rhidorroch.
