The cottage is situated at the rear of the owners residence within an enclosed walled courtyard (Safe for children) Comfortable for 2, but available for 3, the bunk accommodation converts to a double bed with a single above if required.

The accommodation comprises a living area with dining table and bench seating and beds. A separate, well equipped kitchen with gas hob and electric fan oven, fridge, microwave and a plentiful supply of crockery and utensils.

PLEASE NOTE: the cottage is very small and does not have cupboards, wardrobes, comfy chairs or a TV. it is a former Victorian wash house so if you are looking for a large room to spread out in this is not for you.

The pretty courtyard is an array of hanging baskets, plants and herbs. A barbecue and table and chairs make this a perfect place to relax after blissful days exploring...

It is a magic place, inbetween nature and also next to a pub and in a few minutes to a little centre with friendly people. I enjoyed it walking around and had always a smile in my face because of my happiness to stay here....More

Back again after three years. Cottage meets the needs. Yes it's small but it is a fantastic location and has everything you need really. Don't know when but I guess we'll be back!

Normal rental times start from 2pm onwards and departure by 11am on the final day but we are happy to be flexible depending on other bookings. Please enquire a few days before your arrival if you wish to come earlier or leave later. Unfortunately we do not accept payment cards, payment accepted by on line bank transfer or cheque in advance.We can offer additional discount for bookings of more than four weeks. If you are interested, please enquire. Cancellation terms - booking cancellation 100% refund unless cancellation made within 2 weeks of stay then 50% reduction would apply. Any cancellation made within 48 hours of arrival there will be no refund.

About the neighbourhood
For such a small village you are spoilt for choice when it comes to dining. Crickhowell is famous for the historic Coaching Inn, The Bear Hotel. Also visit The Dragon, well know for its excellent cuisine and friendly welcome. There are five pubs in the village. The Bridge End Inn by the river is only a stones throw from the cottage. Also the contemporary Brasserie Number 18 serves award winning cuisine, as well as several cafes a renownedl fish and chip shop and a Chinese restaurant.

Crickhowell also boasts its own department store, Nicholls

River Cottage is exactly 150 miles from London Heathrow Airport, situated 50 metres from the River Usk Bridge in the little market town of Crickhowell. It is well served by motorway/dual carriageway links and is a mere 6 miles from a dual carriageway link on to the motorway network, with the M4 and M50 corridors both 30 miles away.

The nearest rail link is at Abergavenny which is famous for its International Food Festival in September and is 8 miles distant. Car hire is available from the station.
