You must be wondering about the name; My Dad aka Mr.Grump owns the apartment, hence the name.
The Grumpartment is a neat house in Annamalai Nagar, Trichy. The place is nice and relatively calm even though its in the city. You can see a lot of green around the house.
We have 3 air conditioned bedrooms. The house is fully netted to prevent mosquitoes and insects from getting in. We provide all basic ammeneties including a refrigerator, stove, microwave, washing machine, free wifi internet, etc.
The Grumpartment has 3 Air Conditioned bedrooms with attached western style toilets. Hot water is available 24/7 powered by a big 500litre solar water heater. Each bedroom has two beds. Very good stay
Located very close to the main road, it's a very well furnished service apartment that has everything one would need! The apartment has enough space to park 2-3 cars.
A spacious hall with TV, 3 huge bedrooms (AC) with beds that can easily accommodate 10. The kitchen is well stocked with all the necessary utensils needed to cook. They have a maid coming to clean the utensils on a daily basis making the stay hassle free. They use a huge drying area for the clothes as well! Some of the facilities in the kitchen -> microwave oven, toaster, coffee maker, mixer, grinder, varieties of cookers, filter coffee maker
Help is only a call away and he made sure we had toiletries, water, complimentary food.
While the stay is very close to the main road, reaching it will take 10 mins by walk. So it's ideal you have your own mode of transport

Best place to stay in Trichy
After searching a lot for a single big room to stay with my friends. I got the contact of this apartment from my friend. Booking process was simple as just a ring away!! But still i had a doubt whether it will match facilities like in hotel or not, since this is a service apartment. But when i reached there, it was a big surprise to me.
Pros:
1. Good and Safe space for parking
2. Check in process was perfect.
3. Awesome 3 BHK apartment with all facilities like TV, Fridge, AC, Washing Machine, Oven and all needed cooking vessels . I felt like it is my home
4. Perfect location to spend time with friends(privacy assured)
5. Well maintained rooms(spacious too)
Cons:
1. Since it is a service apartment, we have to order food outside. But there are many good hotels near by and we can also order food to deliver in home. Menu and contact details of different hotels available in room. So it was really helpful.
This is the best place to stay in Trichy. Nearly 10 people can stay in this apartment. I will suggest to all my friends. Keep up the good work.

Place for family like our home
I visited on 25.03.18 for our family marriage function
Booked 3 bhk room and separate 2 bedrooms for 15 members
It was fully furnished home and clean and neat with car parking facility
We are not feel like outstation it is like our home
Have all the facility like tv,fridge,gas stove, iron box, dining table, grinder, washing machine, coffee maker, with 24x7 hot water

Value for money
I booked this apartment for my family function. I rented the three bedrooms and the two other rooms for a party of 18. The location was very good owing to the nearness to the market area. Despite that the surroundings were very quite and serene.
The house itself was very neat and well maintained. There was a packet of milk provided, which turned out very handy for babies.
One of the extra room was in the ground floor which was very helpful in housing my elderly relatives who could not climb the stairs.
There was ample parking space for 6 cars. It also had good supply of drinking water and hot water.
Overall my relatives where very satisfied and it helped my wallet as well!
I should also mention the staff were very professional, they called and returned a smart phone which we had left there by mistake.

Wonderful
First & Main thing was their hospitality was very amazing easy way of booking through single phone call not any advance payments Very neat & Clean rooms Wonderful hangout place with your family Seems like u were stayed in your own house not in service apartments Huge parking area All infra facilities like tv fridge washing machine microwave oven

Feel Homely even during your vacation!
One who is seeking a vacation/family get to gether/ family function at Trichy should definitely consider The Grumpartment as there first choice! A near perfect service apartment with a different model + sustainable thought full package! Comfortable and spacious bedrooms and bathroom! Two balcony! Complete Kitchen set with LPG connection, Fridge, Washing machine!!, A family dining hall, TV , Completely furnished area with AC in bedrooms!! Fantastic Apartment in Trichy
Seven of us visited Trichy for a wedding coming from UK, USA, Canada, Netherlands, South Africa, Germany and Kenya.
This apartment was a great place for us to all stay together and have plenty of space and a common area. The apartment is 3 bedrooms, with a 4th available for a modest extra fee on the same floor of the building.
The home was well furnished with a large dining table and sofas, as well as a fully equipped kitchen. Lots of signs in English providing clear information on switches, fans, rubbish sorting and contact information.
The host was very easy to communicate with on WhatsApp in English and with very quick response times.
Would happily book here again should I ever return to Trichy.

Home away from home
An excellent home away from home at the heart of city of trichy. We had a nice and memorable experience at the place. We as a big family of 12 members were in search of a good accommodation in trichy where we could get our own private space. When we googled for it , we got to know about this place from the website through some of the good reviews.
An excellent housing space with most of the comforts at the most reasonable rates.
We booked it for 2 days and 2 nights and we were absolutely happy with it.
A wonderful ambience along with a handful of sweet compliments.
All the household things such as kitchen utensils, microwave oven , coffee maker, washing machine etc. Were provided for our use along with essential items such as coffee powder, washing powder, sugar, salt ,bread etc.
It is a 3 bedroom house with an additional room which were extremely spacious and well furnished.
The cost in all the bedrooms were well enough to accommodate even 4 adults comfortably . Two of the bedrooms were master bedrooms whereas two others were a bit small.
The kitchen was fully equipped with full of plates , simple utensils , tuileries and all the other important things.
The staff members were so courteous and were of a great help to us .

Wedding Trip to Trichy
We had a excellent time in this place. This facility have all the options, all three rooms with A/C all of them are ensuite. Maintained very well. Water is not an issue at all. Hot water available always in all three rooms. Bedrooms are huge I’ll highly recommend for families who comes for big weddings and long stay can accommodate more than 10 people. All cooking utensils are available we had to buy only the Groceries. Drinking water supplied by them whenever they runout. All the windows have Mosquito protection. Inside the property we were able to park two vehicles. And top of that they provided playing cards and board games too. Satellite connection available in TV all the language and sports package. Unlimited internet available it’s in very good speed. Location wise it’s very close to everything specially shopping and for visiting temple. We really enjoyed staying in this property for last two weeks. Guys I’ll highly recommend this place if you are going with your families and friends you’ll love it.

About the neighbourhood
Annamalai Nagar is a relatively new & popular neighbourhood. It’s very close/adjacent to Thillai Nagar. It does not get very busy and is quite peaceful. All the streets in Annamalai Nagar are named after some flower. The area is more of a residential neighbourhood, although we do have some hospitals, restaurants and other business in the area.
Getting around
The best way to get around Trichy is by Ola Taxi. Download the Ola App on your smart phone and book a taxi at your location.
There are no auto-rickshaw stands nearby but if you are out, you can also use auto-rickshaws to move around. However you will have to bargain for a good price with the rickshaw driver or you may end up paying too much for your ride. That is one the reasons I recommend Ola Taxi; you don't need to bargain, the price is fixed on the distance travelled and the time taken for travel.
You can also use public transport. Chatharam Bus Stand is about 10mins by walk (800 meters). You can get buses to anywhere in Trichy and neighbouring areas from Chatharam Bus Stand. It is one the two main bus stands in Trichy.

Catch a bus to Chatharam Bus Stand from the airport or Railway Station. Chatharam Bus Stand is one of the two main bus stands in Trichy, there is a high frequency of busses to Chatharam Bus Stand from the Railway Station and Trichy Central Bus Stand.
From Chatharam Bus Stand its a 10 minutes walk to the The Grumpartment Serviced Apartment. Walk West towards Karur for about 450 meters and take a left onto Karur Bypass Road over-bridge. Walk up the over-bridge, within 100 meters from the top of the over-bridge, you should see a set of steps going down on the right. Walk down those steps and take a right. You should see a green colour gate about 35 meters in front of you. Walk in through the gate into the apartment.
