Enjoyed a wonderful week at Flora Cottage, by the sea. Amenities are excellent, but what makes Flora Cottage so special, is its location beside the Irish Sea, in a quiet part of Northern Ireland. All rooms look out over the sea with it's ever changing colours and tides.

Had a great week staying at Flora Cottage. The location is just fantastic, so private and secluded with ever changing views out the numerous windows of the cottage. The weather was mostly fine during our stay, we were able to go sea swimming and even launched our kayak from the cottage and went for a paddle on one of the calmer days! It was lovely just relaxing and watching the tide come and go. We brought binoculars (a must!) and watched the birds. We particularly loved all the Herons! Each evenings we watched the Swallows come out to feed and we were even greeted by a Hare who practically came right up to the decking - amazing! Our last evening treated us to a specular sunset, pictures attached, which really topped off our chilled break. Cottage is a great base to explore surrounding areas, we spent an afternoon at Castle Ward and another day was spent watching the seals on the rocks. Thank you for a great visit, will surely recommend!

We had a relaxing time at Flora Cottage. We went walking, swimming and watched the stars in an unpolluted sky. Sitting reading in front of the fire, sipping wine and looking out at the sea. What could be better?!

Got away from it all with a short break at flora cottage. The photos don’t really do it justice. Perfect to relax and enjoy watching the seasons. Woke to a beautiful sunrise on Friday as viewed through the double patio doors. Didn’t want to leave! Already planning our next stay

This property exceeded our expectations, despite the clear and accurate description given on its listing. It is comfortable and peaceful, and just a wonderful place to relax and unwind, although is equally accessible to other parts of this beautiful country (including Belfast and beyond). We would most certainly stay here again.

Beautiful cottage right on the shore. So peaceful and relaxing, a stones throw from the small and quiet beach. The perfect place to stay.

Second visit to Flora Cottage and again it did not disappoint. The accommodation is spacious ,well equipped ,warm and comfortable. We experienced a couple of stormy days and it was a pleasure to watch the crashing waves through the sliding patio doors from the warmth of the lounge. The peace and quietness of this area of the Ards peninsula is outstanding and the cottage is a perfect location for day trips, via the Ferry, to the Mourne Area and the National Trust properties of Castle Ward and Mountstewart. This is the perfect spot to benefit from the restorative effects of nature and indulge the simple pleasures offered by Beach and Country whilst being within a short drive of the more organised attractions of Belfast and beyond.

A truly peaceful place to unwind. This lovely cottage is ideally situated a stones throw from the water. A place to just take stock of everything. The cottage is lovely. Airy and light but equally cosy. Curl up and watch the changing light over the sea. It has everything you will need for a relaxing holiday. Will miss the view

So glad you enjoyed your stay. When the tide is coming in you get lulled to relax with the sounds of the waves and when it is going out you get the oyster catchers, curlew and heron fishing. An ever changing view and at night no night pollution so you can see the stars and if you are lucky the full moon shining across the bay towards the cottage. magic - but then I am biased ( and jealous that I am not there!!). Come again. Karen

Just back from a three night stay at Flora Cottage with my Dad. The Cottage is open plan, bright and airy. What an amazing settig, right at the bay. Its so peaceful. The rooms are very comfortable and the whole place is spotless. We had lots of drives out and about, took the ferry to Strangford and Castle Ward which is outstanding. It was lovely getting back to the comfy cottage in the evening to relax and enjoy the view.
