Bridge Cottage is a three bedroom detached property offering spacious, comfortable accommodation located on the spectacular Ards Peninsula which boasts a wealth of arts and crafts, fantastic local produce, history, heritage and natural beauty. Guests can enjoy all the benefits of a contemporary build which has accommodation all on one level whilst retaining a cosy, characterful feel with its wood burning stove and homely decor. The cottage sleeps five in three bedrooms, a large double with en suite , a bright and airy twin room and a single. A cot, highchair, baby bath and safety fireguard are also available. Bed linen and towels supplied. The family bathroom has a bath with electric shower over and the en suite is equipped with a power shower. It has French doors opening onto a child friendly enclosed rear garden with patio, lawn and mature planting. There is furniture for al fresco dining and a BBQ. The cottage has a fully equipped, spacious kitchen diner with a range cooker, (plenty large enough to cater for a family get-together) microwave, dishwasher and DAB radio. Tea , coffee, sugar, oil, and condiments are provided along with washing up liquid, dishwasher tabs and washing detergent and fabric conditioner. The additional utility room has a washer and dryer and provides further access to the rear garden. Off road parking is available for two vehicles with access to the front of the property which has further gardens with lawns and seating. Situated in a rural location only minutes away from the picturesque village of Portaferry. All amenities are easily accessible with shop, garage, Post Office, off licence and takeaways within 1 mile in Cloughey village which also boasts a long sandy beach, the renowned Kirkistown Castle Golf Club and a children's play park. Portaferry itself offers restaurants, cafes, shops and bars and from here its iconic ferry takes you to the pretty harbour village of Strangford and beyond to Downpatrick and the Mourne mountains. From stately homes to 'Game of Thrones', outdoor pursuits or just relaxing, Bridge Cottage is an ideal base for discovering the hidden gems of County Down.More
