This restored country home sits in the Alexander Valley and looks across to and around vineyards. Just 7 minutes from Central Healdsburg, many wineries are nearby such as Fieldstone, White Oak, Sausal and Hanna, and Calistoga is within a 20 minute drive. As you drive up to the home you will notice how the owners involved the surroundings in its color scheme and design. This house is adorable and just perfect for three couples for a long weekend. It's very well stocked and does not feel like a rental. The store is practically next door, and offers tasty treats and quaint souvenirs. The only downside is that it's on a busy street, and the cars can be noisy during the day.

We just celebrated a girls get togther at the Jimstown house and it was excellent. The house is in a great location, is artfully decorated and very comfortable. There were 4 women on our trip and the house can easily accomodate 6 guests. The bonus of an orchard, ripe blackberries, and a garden was icing on the cake. Being next door to the Jimstown Store was a treat and it was a short walk to a great tasting room. The short drive to Healdsburg was very easy. We are thinking this needs to be an annual trip!

We recently stayed at the Jimtown house with 2 other couples. We had a great time enjoying the lovely house. The hard work came before when trying to make the reservations. We found the property management to be polite, but irritating. They sent a 12 page contract with an ridiculous amount to signatures required. They didn't answer repeated questions and the payment process was very unprofessional. They asked for my credit card information through email. They require you to open a special account to pay for the security deposit. It has been 2 weeks and I haven't seen my deposit returned yet. They require you to pay a cleaning fee of $200 and then ask you to clean the house before you leave. We had to empty waste baskets, sweep and remove linens from the bed. The house itself is beautifully furnished and very clean. It is close to the road so there is road noise, but we loved the surrounding and the gardens. The irrigation to the garden in back was out of order so we hand watered the trees and veggies because they were literally dying. Hopefully the owners were alerted and fixed it because the garden is great If the management company were different, I would have given 5 stars, but they need to revamp their system to make it easier for their clients to rent the house!

We stayed at the Jimtown House for a girls getaway. It was absolutely wonderful! The house is stunning, beautifully furnished, well stocked and on the most magnificent grounds. The quick walk to the Jimtown store in the morning for a coffee and scone is perfect. Also, you can take a short walk to a few of the wineries near by as well. Absolutely loved our stay at this fantastic house and will look to return soon!

Just returned from a stay at Jimtown house and couldn't have been more pleased. The property behind the house was beautiful and everything was in bloom. It made for a wonderful place to place horseshoes and hang out/enjoy the outdoors. The inside of the house was was also very pleasant and decorated in good taste. We had everything we needed and more. Also, there is a great indoor/outdoor bar walking distance down the street and the river is near by if you need to cool down and float.

My wife and I and our 3 kids (age 6, 4 and 1) stayed in the wonderful Jimtown house. It was the perfect setting for our family - vineyards in front and back, with a fruit and herb garden in the backyard, grassy areas for the kids to play, and so much more. The renowned Jimtown store is right next door - nothing better than a rural setting with easy access to a lively country place to get an espresso and delicious homemade food. The Hawkes winery is next to the store and they threw a great weekend party with grilled food from Jimtown, wine tasting (great wine!) and live music. The house itself was perfect for us with 3 big bedrooms, and a wide open kitchen and living area. In addition to the backyard garden (where we found lots of fresh fruit), the house had a hot tub and large porch for outdoor eating and lounging. The other benefit of the Jimtown house is its proximity to so many fun family outings - everything from the Russian River and redwoods, to Castello di amorosa, along with wine tasting for the adults. The owners were wonderful too. We arrived a bit early as they were cleaning up some projects at the house, so we had chance to talk to them. They were very nice and explained the history of the house and area, which made it all the more meaningful. We can't wait to go back!
