Welcome! If you love hiking, mountain biking, fishing, hunting, or anything to do with the outdoors - Hillside Colorado Cottages are an ideal place to stay. We are located in the Wet Mountain Valley just 12 miles north of Westcliffe, Colorado, and 12 miles south of the Arkansas river/Texas Creek (ATV trails).
There are many hiking trails in the Sangre de Cristo range (Rainbow Trail, Duckett Creek Trailhead, Brush Creek Trail).

This cottage allow one pet/unit for a $20 pet fee per stay.
Hillside, Colorado is a small historic town that has been in existence since the late 1800's. The Post Office (opened in 1904) still operates today with a Gift Shop attached. The cottages are located at the town site, and offer unprecedented Sangre de Cristo mountain views.

ONE PET UNDER 50LBS ALLOWED PER COTTAGE. THE PET IS NOT TO BE ALLOWED ON ANY FURNITURE - INCLUDING THE BED. IF PET WILL BE LEFT ALONE IN THE COTTAGE, IT MUST BE CRATED WHILE IT IS LEFT ALONE. PET MUST BE ON A LEASH AT ALL TIMES WHEN OUTSIDE OF THE COTTAGE, AND ALL EXCREMENT MUST BE PICKED UP AND THROWN IN THE RED DUMPSTER ON SITE.
**IF IT IS APPARENT THAT THE PET HAS BEEN ON THE FURNITURE, ADDITIONAL CHARGES WILL BE INCURRED**

We had an amazing stay at the Hillside cottage. The cottage was clean, efficient and rightfully located from the mountains and grocery store. This cottage has spectacular views. We wished had more time to extend our stay, but we will be visiting soon.

The Wet Mountain Valley is a hidden gem of Colorado. Recently identified as an International Dark Sky Community, the near town of Westcliffe/Silver Cliff has worked to preserve the incredible star-gazing qualities of the valley. The north end of the valley starts at the Arkansas River & Hwy 50, the south end is right at Walsenburg, Colorado.
