We enjoyed vacationing at this mountain home. The house was very clean and the location was perfect for hiking, fly fishing, and stargazing. There was plenty of room to spread out and we were happy that we could bring along the family dog. He enjoyed being a 'mountain dog' for a few days and getting out of the city!
The hosts were very responsive and the house was stocked with all the necessities. We would definitely consider staying here again!

Annual summer Family friend trip to the mountains
We have been coming to Colorado in the summer visiting different locations each year and we loved this area. The hikes around grand lake village and shadow mountain were amazing. Location was great. They don’t advertise there is a tree house but the four kids we had there loved it. It was a great setup for two families with kids. Consider bringing a fan if you get hot at night. There was only one fan for the two adult rooms.

Amazing summer getaway
The house is located in a very nice subdivison and, surrounded by two acres of pine trees, has lots of privacy. My favorite spot was the deck with its views of the mountains, cool breezes and birdsong. But the inside of the house, with its views through huge picture windows and simple, comfortable furnishings, was inviting, too. The location--between Fraser and Winter Park to the east and Grand Lake and RMNP to the west--insures wonderful hiking, rafting, cycling and some excellent eating too. For outdoorspeople , naturalists,and those simply seeking peace, quiet and cooler temperatures, I could not recommend this place more!

Gorgeous views of the mountains
Everything we needed was right in the house, it was very cozy and comfortable (the living room furniture could have had better back support). We enjoying the hot tub and simply being among the pine trees.

We’ll be back!!!
This was the best place to stay! Beautiful surroundings, so much room for the kids and pets to explore, wonderful deck and hot tub, and a lovely cabin that had everything we needed and felt like home!
Whenever we get back to the area, we will definitely book this cabin.

First trip to Colorado
We had an incredible time on our first trip to Colorado, we skied Winter park. This property was absolutely gorgeous, as pictured and described. It’s in a private neighborhood away from the hustle and bustle. The kids
( teenagers) loved having the downstairs to themselves and the adults upstairs there was plenty of room and beds and nobody waited for a bathroom. The teens took a million selfies outside:) The Hot Tub ( a must in our search) was right outside and felt great after skiing. We cooked every meal at the house and even grilled the first night with great weather. We lacked nothing with regard to utensils. We ate together, watched movies, played games and made wonderful memories. Mark and Michon were very quick and responsive to all our questions and provided us help and advice We would stay definitely stay here again.
Advice for new tourists,
If driving, take a 4-wheel drive vehicle, anything less is not practical and scary when it snowed. Also rent your equipment way ahead of time, we booked lift tickets ahead of time but not our gear. We were surprised all equipment was rented out for Spring Break at Winter Park and surrounding towns. We got lucky Idaho Springs had equipment. It was about an hour’s drive to and from, but were grateful they had enough for a family of 5. Still had a wonderful time.

Lovely property
We really enjoyed our stay - it was perfect for our group of 4 adults and 2 children. The property felt very private and spacious, and the house was very clean. No complaints!

Great weekend stay!
We had a great long weekend with friends and the house was perfect! Michon was a great help, the place was spotless perfect for our group. We will be back!

Beautiful mountain retreat
This comfortable ski house was perfect for our family vacation in Tabernash. Plenty of room, beautiful views of the mountains and a hot tub surrounded by trees! Quiet neighborhood and great location - close to Devil's Thumb Ranch where we skied every day.
