On the tiny Scottish island of Cumbrae, we offer a spacious one bedroomed ,ground floor flat with patio area right outside the door. The flat is a stone's throw from the sea,and takes it name as a nod to the locally known beach of 'Cosy Corner' which is less than five minutes walk from the apartment- literally at the bottom of your street. It's close to the golf course, shops and all the restaurants that the small town of Millport has to offer. With only one neighbour, living in the flat above you, this flat is a quiet haven for a peaceful break.

My husband and I stayed at cosy corner apartment with our 2 dogs for a week early October. I never met the owner Jen but did speak a few times on the phone. She was lovely to talk to. She even arranged for some bread and milk to be in the apartment when I told her I was running late...

We stayed here for a few nights with the dog and it was great, the flat is lovely and cosy and had everything we (and the dog) needed. We especially loved the fire! The flat is actually roomier than the pictures give it credit for. The location is perfect, close to the main street of Milport for pubs etc and...

Perfect location near all amenities and sea front lovely flat with every thing you could need.Lovely garden.owner very nice and accommodating .would highly recommend a stay in this flat

About the neighbourhood
The tiny Isle of Cumbrae is often known by the name of it's only town, Millport. It's easily reached by rail from Glasgow, taking you to Largs, where you can catch the ferry over to the island. A haven for bird watchers, fishing and with it's own golf course, the island also has cafes, bars and shops. With it's beautiful beaches and stunning scenery, it's been a popular holiday resort since Victorian times, which is visible in it's charming promenade frontage.
Getting around
Once in the town, you can walk ,or hire a bike to cycle everywhere- the road around the island is pretty flat and attracts cyclists of all age and ability.
All the shops and cafes are in easy walking distance of the apartment.

How to get there
Get the hourly train from Glasgow Central station to Largs- it takes under an hour. a short ( five minutes ) walk brings you to the ferry terminal - buy your ticket before you get on- it's under £20 for two people and a car. The ferry journey takes ten minutes.A bus meets every ferry, just ask for a single or return when you get on! Get off at the old harbour- just look for the royal George hotel. It's the last stop, and then a short seven mins walk brings you to the apartment. I'll send detailed directions when you've booked.
By car- just turn left when off the ferry, and follow the lovely coast road. It takes about ten mins. Park opposite the apartment, or right beside the gate, if there's a space.
