A cosy ground floor flat, comprising of two rooms. One room has double bed, in a seperate sleeping area and a kitchen area tucked neatly into an alcove with a dining table for four.
The other room is a sunny living room, with beautiful views out towards Kames Bay, and glimpses of Wee Cumbrae in the opposite direction.
There's two bed settees (one double, one single) and Freesat TV and internet access supplied for free. As the house is built into the hill, a delightful balcony area and shared garden are the perfect sun trap to while away a few hours with a book, listening to the call of the sea birds from the nearby beach. We are often on the island, as we have other properties that we rent. You are welcome to phone or text me if you have any problems during your stay- in fact we would ask that any problems are flagged up as soon as is practical, and certainly before you leave. If we are not on the Isle, our cleaner Sammy can usually pop round at a time agreeable to you to help with any difficulties.

This was a great we flat we enjoyed our stay. The only downside was it was a bit far from the shops as I have arthritis,.

The VG supermarket will often deliver groceries if we ask them nicely, so if you were to return to the island this might be worth investigating? Usually we recommend this flat for less...

The 2 roomed flat is ideally situated for the beach, shops, cafes and walks and has everything you would need for a short stay. The sleep quality is excellent with a comfy bed and a quiet street. We ate out and enjoyed particularly The Garrison and the Crocodile Chippy! - but the facilities are there if you wanted to eat...

About the neighbourhood
The flat is situated on a quiet side street, one street back from the main promenade. A few minutes walk will bring you to The Dancing Midge cafe , and a few further minutes in the same direction brings you to a paper shop also selling milk and a few essentials. You can walk the whole of the main street of the town, where all the shops , Post Office etc are situated in about twenty minutes stroll- from the lovely beach at Kames Bay, a few minutes from no 44 down to the old Harbour. The views are fabulous!
Getting around
A car is not required unless you have mobility issues. There's also a taxi service - cards are in the flat - if you miss a bus to the ferry.
Please note the ferry docks at the Ferry slip, which is not in the town- a drive or bus journey of about ten minutes link the two.

How to get there
From Glasgow Central train station, an hourly service brings you to Largs- the ferry terminal is just a few minutes walk from the station, and you must buy a ferry ticket from the ferry office before you board. A bus meets every ferry, and ask to get off at ' The Crosshouse stop' . Cross the road, go up the slight hill ( mount Stuart St ) turn right at the top, and our building is just a few doors along.
