The village Post Office for almost 100 years, the property has recently been re modelled as a studio apartment for couples.
Conveniently situated on the shore road, with views from the large front window to Loch Long, and the Clyde Estuary, which is often busy with maritime traffic including submarines, merchant ships and cruise liners.
The space has been designed to provide comfortable accommodation for a relaxing holiday.
To the front is the bright and airy living / sleeping area.Furniture includes 2 reclining swivel easy chairs, a wooden dining table,a wardrobe ,a double bed with comfortable SIlent Night mattress and quality Sanderson bedding.
Additionally there is a wall mounted Dimplex Optiflame fire, wall mounted 32' flat screen Smart TV, free Netflix, free unlimited WIFI.

We will usually only see you when we welcome you to Blairmore and tell you about the facilities and answer any questions you may have. We will then leave you to settle in, as we realize that our guests have been traveling and want to start their holiday. We then usually send an email to guests later in the week to check all is okay, although we can be contacted any time if you need us during your stay. We also have a good friend in the village who is a point of contact if required, and we ask you drop the keys through her letter box when your holiday is over.

Whether you are looking for a tranquil relaxing break or something more strenuous Blairmore is a great base. The accommodation is as described by the owners and a warm welcome was provided. There was a welcome pack with relevant information to ensure everything went smoothly....More

Blairmore , Where ? Exactly ,I had never been there either nor knew where it was . A hidden gem . So close to all amenities yet far enough away to be relaxing and restful . Lots to see and do for everyone . Bars...More

Blairmore Post Office opened 17th June 1869, and was the heart of the village for almost almost 100 years.
Just a short journey from Dunoon along the scenic coastal road around the Holy Loch & Loch Long, the location is stunning, at the Head of the Victorian Pier in the heart of Blairmore Village, on the shores of Loch Long with views to The Arrochar Alps, the loch, and the River Clyde beyond.
Blairmore is situated in an area of outstanding beauty in the Argyll Forest Park, which is in turn within the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. The area encapsulates the essence of Scotland with mountains, lochs and sea blending together to create a place of great scenic beauty.

Ferry: western Ferries Hunters Quay PA23 8HJ: 17.0 km
By carSat nav postcode PA23 8TJFrom Glasgow, follow the M8 for Greenock, then the A8 for Gourock. Take the A770 for Western Ferries, 2 miles beyond Gourock, There is no advanced booking, but is worth visiting their website for timetables, there are about 3 ferries an hour. Enjoy the 20 minute ferry trip as you cross the Clyde estuary to arrive at Hunters Quay. Once off the ferry turn right on the A815 for 2 miles. Turn right at the T junction and continue on the A815; after 3 miles turn right for the A880, driving through the villages of Kilmun, Strone, and arriving in Blairmore.
