December Vacation
We enjoyed our stay but thought the price was a bit steep. Would also recommend they get new pillows. Otherwise everything was fine.

Beautifuful home, clean, comfortable, with all the amenities
Wish we could have stayed longer and we would definitely stay here again. The views from the decks are beautiful and interesting. We found nothing lacking in the many amenities, felt right at home in a pleasant atmosphere. For the fishermen you can dock your boat on the seawall in the rear, however there is no fish cleaning table, we cleaned our fish on-board our boat.

This was a great place the pictures did not show how great this place was. Quite street and the sun rise aND sun set were beath taking. Looking forward to next year's trip.

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at The Boathouse. The location was perfect and the house was awesome! We loved the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. And being so close to the marina and the Lazy Flamingo Restaurant was great!

Recommended for: Families with young children, Girls getaway, Age 55+, Romantic getaway, Families with teenagers.

Dear Stephen Ervin, I hope you enjoyed your stay at my home. The house was very clean after you left. You even had put the towels in the washer for me and run the dishwasher. Couldn't ask for better clients... I look forward to having you back for your next vacation.

Pine Island is the largest island in the state of Florida in the United States. The island is located in Lee County, on the Gulf of Mexico coast of southwest Florida The Intracoastal Waterway passes through Pine Island Sound, to the west of the island. Matlacha Pass runs between Pine Island and the mainland. Pine Island lies west of Cape Coral.Pine Island has no large beache is surrounded by mangroves and three aquatic preserves. Residents and visitors are attracted to fishing, and boating. Pine Island is mostly zoned as agricultural land; some visitors travel more than a hundred miles to purchase tropical fruit such as lychee and mangos grown and sold Pine Island is also home to Matlacha Pass National Wildlife Refuge. Little Pine Island is a state-owned wildlife refuge, currently being restored to its natural state by the elimination of the development features that had been built on the island. Ospreys, herons, egrets, ibises, and roseate spoonbills often are seen on the island, as well as owls, hawks, bald eagles, and many songbirds.Living with wildlife.Experiencing nature and wildlife happens naturally everywhere on Pine Island. Anhinga and pelicans dive for fish just offshore. Osprey fly gracefully overhead, dolphins play in your wake and manatee surface to say hello as you pass on your kayak. These and so many more brushes with nature are commonplace thanks to our dynamic mangrove estuaries, which rival rainforests as the most productive ecosystem on the planet. Your job is simply to enjoy and help protect it for future generations. Manatees are drawn to Pine Island because its canal contains the warm-water discharge of a nearby power plant.
