Fort Myers is situated in the south west of Florida on the beautiful Gulf Coast, renowned for its long stretches of white sand and the warm waters of the Gulf Stream.Our modern two-storey house (2700 sq feet) is only 3 miles from Fort Myers Beach and 4 miles from the beautiful islands of Sanibel and Captiva. Situated in a tranquil gated development, our house faces west to catch those glorious Florida sunsets. The screened pool overlooks a lake which contains an illuminated fountain. The house is fully air conditioned and equipped with ceilinwg fans. The pool deck has sunshine from mid morning until sundown and has more than adequate space for the six sunbeds. The pool has optional electric heating.The downstairs accommodation consists of a great room, master bedroom suite, study, toilet and laundry room.The Great Room consists of a family area, which is furnished to a very high standard, a dining area and kitchen. The seating area has an entertainment centre which includes a 55 inch 4K flat screen, full HD cable TV, and Blu Ray player..The kitchen is equipped with a large double door stainless steel freezer/ refrigerator (with door mounted ice and chilled water facility), large freestanding cooker (with ceramic hob), dishwasher and waste disposal. All necessary electrical items are provided.The downstairs Master Suite has sliding doors providing direct access to the pool. The bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed, and a small flat screen TV and DVD player. En route to the en suite bathroom, which consists of a corner bath, separate shower and two vanity units, there is a walk in closet. There is also a separate toilet.Upstairs you will find a second master bedroom suite. This very spacious room has a queen size bed, walk in closet and a newly renovated en suite shower room. Next to this room is a second lounge area which has two settees, coffee table and a 42 inch flat screen TV and Blu-ray player. In addition there are two twin bedrooms. Both have large built in wardrobes and share the third bathroom, which has a bath with shower over. On arrival our agents (Universal Vacations - now Vacasa) will ask for a credit card swipe to cover any accidental damage.More

Our home in Fort Myers (which is situated in a quiet gated community of individual detached houses) is superbly located to take advantage of the beach (less than 4 miles away), the newly renovated Art Deco area of downtown Fort Myers with its many restaurants, bars, cafes, theatres and venues showing musicals is less than 8 miles away.The winter homes of Henry Ford and Thomas Edison are nearby and offer a unique insight to the private lives of these two famous men.There are over 30 Golf Courses in the area along with 3 mini golf opportunities for those less serious about the sport. There are two designer Outlets, one is less than 5 minutes drive from our home and the larger one (Miromar) is less than 30 minutes drive.Ft Myers beach is a lively fun place with lots of bars, restaurants, cafe...

Getting around

Whilst there is limited public transport a car is essential if you wish to see the many attractions in the area. There is a trolley available from the Walmart Plaza on San Carlos Boulevard, which takes you down to the beach.
