Minutes to Indian Pass and St. Joseph Bay State Park, and less than half an hour to historic Apalachicola, Port St. Joe is a respite from crowds. Located in the heart of town, but still on a quiet residential street, our renovated 1920's cottage has three bedrooms, a den, a sunroom, two modern bathrooms and a well-equipped kitchen provide modern comfort while retaining historic charm. Less than a block from St. Joseph Bay, you have access to everything Port St. Joe and surrounding communities have to offer. Walk to the shops and restaurants on Reid Street, two blocks away, ride a bike on the city trails, paddle your kayak through nearby wetlands, launch your boat from the public marina down the street, fish the surf or the mouth of the Intracoastal Waterway, swim and sunbathe on St. Joe...Minutes to Indian Pass and St. Joseph Bay State Park, and less than half an hour to historic Apalachicola, Port St. Joe is a respite from crowds. About the neighbourhood
Although Port St. Joe had significant damage from Hurricane Michael, 90% of businesses are open again, the beaches are clean and the fishing is great. All events and festivals are still on. However, please be advised that If you know the area, you'll miss some old favorites; the Port Inn hasn't reopened yet, and it will be at least a year before Sunset Grill comes back. The St. Joe Peninsula State Park is only partially accessible by car. Most of the beautiful homes on Monument Avenue (facing the Bay) have been bulldozed. And the town of Mexico Beach is, sadly, devastated.. The progress has been remarkable, but the damage was widespread. If you can accept that, please come: our businesses need tourism if we are to get through this.
