This two bedroom/two bathroom cottage has a spacious master suite with a queen bed, living area with queen sleeper sofa that may be closed off using the folding doors to act as a second bedroom. The cottage features a full kitchen and two full bathrooms as well. As a guest of The Palms of Sanibel you have access to the expansive pool, high speed wireless internet, laundry facilities, bbq grills and much more. The Palms of Sanibel is also a short walk to the beach as well as small shops and restaurants.

Location good but Periwinkle Way is very noisy. Interior is oddly chopped up with old faded furniture & odd large cabinets that are not useful for storage. Wires hanging from the wall on the TV. Rugs stained. Bed very uncomfortable, a Queen size although there's plenty of room for a king bed. Not enough bedroom storage for clothes (we are here for 2 weeks). Bikes are available but kept outside in the weather so they are all rusty. BBQ has no fuel and is not maintained (very dirty). Dangerous steps into the bedroom without a handrail. Step up to the little bathroom a trip hazard (looks like it was a closet at one time?) Yes, the drawer still falls out. Only 2 small drawers for clothing. Closet floor full of pet hair, not cleaned from last occupant. Kitchen undersupplied for long term stay. Pots & pans stored under the kitchen sink (yuk!), Not even a can opener? no extra trash bags & no maintenance personnel to be found ever. Overall, if you want the...

We were disappointed with these accommodations. The location is quite nice, within a 10 minute walk of the beach and the beach chairs and wagon were a real plus. The upholstery throughout is faded and the dresser drawers fall out. The lighting to the cottage and bbq grills is inadequate. The washer/dryer in a separate building is good. Suggesting this as a 2 bedroom is a stretch although the rickety, broken pull out sofa might suffice for a child. We killed one roach which is probably not uncommon for Florida, but ants were everywhere in the bathrooms. The frig either froze the contents or defrosted on the floor. The kitchen accessories are limited. There is a dangerous step down into the bedroom that needs a banister. The Internet is good but if power goes out the router needs to be reset requiring a visit from the property manager. Nearly everyday a light blew; we wondered if there was an electrical issue. Following a heavy rain/ wind storm tarps were needed on one of the cottages...

We certainly are disappointed with the issues you encountered during your stay. RE/MAX of the Islands recently took over management of The Palms and has went through each cottage to rectify any deferred maintenance such as a new roof, paint, landscaping, bbq grill, bikes and much more. Also this summer all of the cottages will be freshened up as well....
