Gorgeous!
Location is fabulous - complete peace and quiet with amazing views, (though be warned - as others have said, access to the borgo is via a very steep hill and getting out onto the main road is something of a challenge!). We had a couple of glitches with hot water, but George was brilliant at responding immediately to sort things out. The house is exactly as in the pictures, not cosy in the UK style but just right for the climate - complimentary degustazione was a lovely touch and very welcome after a tough time finding the place on our arrival (not George's fault!). Nearby Casoli is nice and Abruzzo is perfect - lovely (and varied) beaches, mountains, ski resorts and pretty towns/villages - and visit Vasto if you want a great city hit! Would we recommend? - definitely. Will we return? - hope so!!

Without a doubt this is Unspoilt Italy
Having seen the website I had high expectations of being off the beaten track and I was disappointed. George, your host, has done a fantastic job of renovating this small Italian hamlet into a collection of very comfortable with all the mod cons apartments/houses to stay in. He has exciting plans to develop the hamlet further and I look forward to seeing what he does next when I return. The views are outstanding and you can watch rural life, unchanged for years, taking place all around you from harvesting olives to the locals hunting wild boar. The nearby town of Casoli has all that you need. The restaurants are very reasonably priced (EUR 10 per head for 2 courses and a jug of wine!), it has an attractive old town and although there are not many English speakers you can get by. The coast is only 30 mins and the airport in Pescara is easy to navigate too and an hour away. I would highly recommended staying at Masserie, although I would warn you that it is on the side of a hill so it is quite steep walking down to the pool.

A wonderful time in a beautiful house.
We stayed there with two children (7 and 9 years old) for two weeks. The owner George is fantastic (24/7 accessible with very good ideas for food, presents oder an things we wanted to know). All Apartments have a beautiful view and are all modernized like new. It is a good place for making trips to the beach and to the Majella NP or to the mountains.

It is indeed UNSPOILT Italy
With a website like unspoiltitaly, we had high expectations and were not disappointed. This is a wonderful little set up that has been brought back to life in a sympathetic way and has a very boutique feel to it The house was comfortable, simple inside with smart design and pretty much everything that you might want - the aircon was useful (it was quite hot) and the pool a godsend..(recommendation for George - it could do with some more loungers) Surrounding, we explored the mountains and coast in equal measures and found both very inspirational and the people wonderful - very genuine. The owner of Masserie di Marsilio, was useful in this respect,as little is advertised (the area is very untouristy) and English is not widely spoken - he gave us some great advice when we needed it and sorted out all the bookings etc. A real unique discovery - somewhere that we would love to go back to and highly recommend
