Our first family vacation since our honeymoon…11 years ago— add in 2 children & 2 dogs… and what a dream! We live roughly forty-five minutes away, we wanted to feel like we got away but still enjoyed the perks of the Georgia tidal marshes! I read all of the glowing reviews and the one that spoke to me said— the property provided everything I didn’t even know I needed. I felt that deeply in the past three days at River House. We enjoyed everything the property had to offer— family swimming competitions, catching sharks off the dock within minutes of the cast, crabbing, the sweet southern breeze with the tide changes, the live oaks and the sway of the Spanish moss while we enjoyed conversation on the porches. The TV never got used— and that says something with a six and eight year old. We laughed, we played hard, we reconnected. It was without a doubt the property that will host some of my most cherished memories. We’ll be back!

This place is the most peaceful we’ve ever stayed. Saw a herd of deer while sitting on the front porch, then we saw dolphins off the private pier. Neighborhood is super quiet. Boat ramp is a few miles away. House offers great views from the front and back. Private pool was nice and big. Only one tv in the den (not a smart tv) but we didn’t miss our streaming apps with all the stuff to see outside. Savannah and the Golden Isles all less than an hour away. Great getaway and would definitely stay here again.!

Very peaceful and beautiful location. We loved the pool and fishing off the dock! It was a nice, quiet, peaceful neighborhood. The house is maintained well and checkin was a breeze. Thanks for a nice place to stay!

I give this vacation a 15 on a scale of 1-10 and it’s all because of the house itself. We only left to go grad groceries or to go out to eat. While swimming or fishing off the dock all you could hear were the birds chirping. We had several friendly, fury visitor to pet while staying. The house was very well equipped and cozy. I can’t recommend this home enough, we’ve rented several homes on VRBO and this one is hands down the best!

This is our families third time staying at the river house. This time we were pleasantly surprised with the new furniture, bathroom and laundry updates. There was also more lighting added outside. The weather was perfect and allowed us to enjoy days and evenings outside at the dock or pool. The pool was clean and refreshing. Can’t wait til next time.

We enjoyed our visit to the River House! As always, the house is consistently clean, well-equipped, comfortable, and peaceful. We enjoyed fishing on the dock and caught lots of fish to include a bit larger than usual shark (4 ft) Kids really enjoyed their pool time. Loved the porch remodeling & new furniture, Ken. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and when my kids ask to go back somewhere it’s a win! We loved being there and our time relaxing. When I posted pictures of our trip I was asked where we stayed.

Clean, comfortable and homey. We had everything we needed. Due to the season we did not get to enjoy the pool but I know it will be an added benefit in the warmer months. We did enjoy the beautiful view and boating on the river. Owner was very accommodating. Only downfall is having to wash and put away towels and dishes AND be out by 10 am. We are not early risers so that would have been very difficult for us. I would definitely stay here again.

We chose this property due to its location. Close enough to drive to popular beaches & sites but off the beaten path. This property was exactly what we had hoped it would be. Our kids had a great time fishing off the dock and successfully caught fish & crab. The pool provided lots of fun as well. We went one day to Harris Neck Wildlife Refuge and everyone loved to see the birds, alligators & other wildlife. It's a short drive & definitely worth the trip. Thank you for a great place to stay & a very relaxing Spring Break! We would love to come back in the future.

Had a great time at this home. The home was stocked with everything we needed for a week long stay. The property is very neatly kept. It was a 5 star experience all around.
