Bungalow -
2 Bedrooms , 2 Bathrooms , Sleeps 4
Drumbeg, Scottish Highlands, Scotland
The restful tranquillity of the west coast is exemplified in the remote Highland village of Drumbeg. This beautifully maintained bungalow was built in the late 1990's as a retreat for an artist and his family. It is thoughtfully designed and tastefully decorated with his and other artists' work. The large picture window in the lounge has an inspiring outlook to the sea and coastal hillside. There is a pretty garden where visitors can sit out and enjoy the peaceful scenic surroundings.

The house is situated on the edge of the village, offering seclusion, but the shop, restaurants, tea room and hotel bar are less than 5 minutes walk away.

Tigh a Garadh Beag has all you need for the ultimate getaway. It's obviously someone's 'place' not just a rental and all the better for it with lots of useful stuff in the kitchen and living room (e.g. games and books) and full of family memorabilia to give it character. The Tigh is up a dead end a few metres...

Management response:

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review. I'm glad you enjoyed staying at Tigh a Garadh Beag. Lovely to hear that you got such good service in the shop too. Yes, the books and games are sometimes necessary when that horizontal rain sets in!! However, as you say, when you get the views they are...

Lovely bungalow in an amazing setting, we had such a restful time here you really feel you are away from it all. The children loved spotting all of the deer. Feels, like home from home with handy instructions next to everything. Great to have everything to hand to have a lovely fire each night. Would recommend, thank you for a lovely...

Management response:

Thank you so much for your lovely comments. Watching the wildlife, from small birds to deer and occasionally a badger, is absolutely one of the delights of the locations. I'm glad you were comfortable and found everything you needed. Please come back and see us sometime. Kind regards. Nancy

Great location, amazing scenery. House is spacious, well equipped and clean. The pub / hotel along the road looked closed most of the time and the nearest restaurant was around 8 miles away, maybe it's more lively in summer. The wee shop is really nice but didn't have a great selection of meat so take what you need or call...

Management response:

Thanks for your review Andrew! I agree the road is possibly not for the faint-hearted but the scenery and peace and quiet are well worth it! I'm glad you were comfortable in the house and found everything you needed there. Do come and visit again. Nancy
