You’ll find handmade British soft furnishings with decorations in Farrow and Ball colours, granite worktops to the well-fitted hand made kitchen. There are two modern bathrooms with vanity cupboards. The comfy sitting area has a Sony LED HD Smart TV with freeview, DVD player, WiFi and a wood-burning stove. There is underfloor heating throughout and heated towel rails. The accommodation is designed to an exceptionally high standard in a rural, tranquil setting. Fresh flowers and a welcome basket of starter breakfast supplies greet you upon arrival. The entrance door leads from a porch into the fully equipped, open plan kitchen with a Neff electric oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge, separate freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer. The open plan kitchen leads to the sitting/dining room featuring the pretty wood burning stove, that is made up with logs ready to light, ensuring you are cosy throughout your stay. The master bedroom (ground floor) features a luxurious king size bed with Egyptian cotton linen, a snuggly designer throw, comfy pillows and duvet. This leads to a modern en suite bathroom with a large shower bath, vanity cupboard and w.c. The second bedroom (first floor) has twin beds and is open plan to its private staircase and lobby with an en suite wet room (ground floor). The spacious walk in shower has two showerhead options. This is a fun space with privacy from the ground floor living area. Automatic black out blinds add to the finishing touches of this unique bedroom space. Both bathrooms have heated towel rails, cotton towels and welcome toiletries. Deerkeepers’ enjoys its own landscaped garden with terraces, outdoor furniture and a gas BBQ (during the warmer weather). There are country walks from the door onto a bridleway and the nearby Ashdown Forest (2,396 hectares). This cottage is in the gardens of an old coach house, which once formed part of a larger estate; therefore it has the benefit of a private tennis court and small home gym. Guests are welcome to use these at their own risk. For further information please contact the owner direct. A car is recommended. Whilst we love dogs, we do not have pets to stay. Nor do we have smoking anywhere within the cottage. The cottage is unsuitable for young children due to the steps, stairs and wood burner. Older children are welcome. For further information please contact the owner direct. There is a detached one bedroom cottage close by, ideal for family groups and friends wanting independent accommodation. Interaction with guests
The keys will be left in the lock box on the rose arch so if your arrival is delayed you will always have access to the cottage. I live nearby and am usually available should you require. I always try to meet and greet guests upon their arrival, depending upon the time of arrival.

The cottage is perfect, nice decor, all the cooking utensils and pots and pans you might need. Lovely garden, full of butterflies. The owner couldn't have been nicer or more welcoming. Too many places nearby to walk, as well as National trust properties to visit. We will definitely return.

We had a wonderful stray at The Deerkeepers Cottage. The cottage has been immaculately renovated and has everything you need. The welcome basket of goodies and bottle of wine was a lovely touch. Angie dropped in and generously gave us some tips on where to go and what to see.The location was beautiful, quiet and peaceful, but within easy read of the local attractions.

A wonderful cottage with everything you need. Very comfortable. Angie has made a folder with lots of places to visit. There are loads of NT properties, which we loved. The beach is about 40 minutes away, but there are lots of other places to visit. Angie also created a lovely garden which adds to the peaceful atmosphere. There are huge walks available. I will definitely be back. Karen

My husband and I and our adult daughter stayed at Angie’s gorgeous cottage for 5 days in April. The cottage was very well equipped and beautifully decorated. There was an excellent balance of old world charm and modern renovation. The cottage is surrounded by a beautiful garden and has an outdoor eating area where we had a late lunch when we arrived on the first day. The bathrooms and kitchen are modern and clean. The beds are very comfortable. There was plenty of space for us and our adult daughter. The welcome basket of provisions provided some excellent basics and a couple of delicious treats as well.  Angie made us feel very welcome. She is a lovely, friendly and helpful host. The cottage is located in a picturesque, quiet area and there are a number of interesting National Trust properties nearby. The Cat Inn is only a short drive away where we had an absolutely fantastic dinner with friends one evening! We had a great time exploring the area and would love to go back for a longer stay!

Deerkeepers cottage was a wonderful place that exceeded all our expectations. All members of the family, both young and older, agreed that this is the best place we have stayed in yet. Nothing negative to say and full of good comments for the lovely host and property

Booked this cottage for a Halloween break for my family over 3nights. The cottage although modern in appearance internally and externally still emits charm and character, enhanced by the tasteful but modern decoration. The facilities were great and very little but nit-picking would expose such a well presented cottage. The location is fabulous for a peaceful and relaxing break. The area is private and secluded although a 10-15 minute drive to East Grinstead. (Incidentally try the Nest coffee shop in the High Street - excellent!) The hosts are welcoming as is the lovely and thoughtful welcome basket that awaits you upon your arrival. We will definitely return. Truly a little gem to escape the rigours of the daily trudge! Thank you Angie.

This was the second time we stayed in Angela's house and it was like coming home. We have never experienced such a friendly welcome with a welcome parcel which exeeds all expectations. The house is just phantastic with a perfect furnishing and a wonderful garden surrounding. It is just marvellous when it is sunny and at the same time when it is cold (with the fire-place in the living room).

Never did I think I would find such a perfect cottage to stay in. Well equipped and beautifully presented. Great location with easy routes to the coast as well as rural Sussex. The owner made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. We had the hottest day of the year whilst there and enjoyed sitting in the beautiful cottage garden. Thank you Angie.

We had a lovely stay at Angie's cottage. Such a peaceful cul de sac surrounded by beautiful garden and trees. Angie was very helpful and the cottage was pristine and welcoming when we arrived. Great spot to explore the nearby forest and farms. Our kids loved the tennis court and saying hello to the horses nearby. A 1 minute drive to wonderful Plawhatch farm where fresh biodynamic produce means you don't even need to go to town! Lovely exploring to be done on the farm also. Thank you Angie - we'll miss you!
