Shelve, Minsterley, Shropshire, England
This comfortable flat is reached by a fairly steep staircase to a space which once housed farm workers, and has perhaps the best view on the whole property, both to the east to Stiperstones and also south with a range of interlocking hills. Stiperstones View comprises a modern kitchen with fridge, oven, hob, microwave and dishwasher, plus a table and chairs for dining; a shower room with shower, hand basin and WC; and a large airy bed-sitting room with kingsize bed (splitable upon request to 2 singles), windows on two sides giving lovely views, lounge area with television and DVD player. There is ample space for parking and a totally private patio area with outdoor table and chairs, giving fine views down the valley, a little secluded haven of peace while catching the afternoon sun. Mobile phones don't work here, but we do have wifi... Read more

Studio is well equipped, clean, spacious, nicely furnished and very comfortable. The owners are very friendly and hospitable. The setting is lovely, with sweeping views across the countryside to the Stiperstones.

About the neighbourhood
Shropshire is the secret county in England with unspoilt beauty. If you want to meet locals who understand service and have lots of time to chat, then come to Shropshire.
We have fantastic footpaths - if you laid them end to end they would stretch from here to New York. There's a chance you may pass people but we're talking maybe a dozen in the day rather than hundreds.
The countryside is unspoilt - we have one of the lowest densities of population in England.
But we have history of the turbulent times as the Anglo/welsh border was fought over for many years leaving castles dating back to the bronze age. The Industrial Revolution started here at Ironbridge, we produced lead over hundreds of years, have loads of types of geology
Getting around
The bus from Shrewsbury to Bishops Castle runs one mile from us. Stop is Hemford crossroads/Shelve turn. The last bus is about 6:00pm from Shrewsbury and there is no Sunday service
Car recommended
How to get there
Airport: Liverpool/Manchester/Birmingham: 100.0 km
Railway: Shrewsbury: 25.0 km
It's best to drive here - our postcode at SY5 0JF should point straight to the location. From A488 Shrewsbury/Bishops Castle road turn towards Shelve, go over the hill and we are about 100 metres after the church on the righthand side of the road. We have loads of parking - just stay on the gravel and you'll be fine.
Liverpool, Manchester and Birmingham Airports are roughly equidistant. We suggest Manchester as the easiest, heading for North Wales, then A5 south.
Activities nearby
Fishing Nearby, There Is A Golf Course Within 30 Mins Drive.
