If you want to prepare your own meals, there’s an oven, microwave and hobs. We’ll even arrange for a food delivery if that’s what you want and store it in the refrigerator ready for your arrival. Weather permitting, you will be able to sit out on your own private veranda that overlooks the North Downs and dine alfresco. You’ll find a barbecue in the shed we have provided, which can also house any bikes you might decide to bring. Fortunately, The Cabin is completely fenced, with its own entrance and land, so if you do bring a four-legged friend, you can all relax. We can advise you on local walks and cycle routes, even those including our wonderful local pubs! This area is steeped in history so you might perhaps choose to visit nearby Leeds Castle and find out why Henry VIII stayed there. The shops are a short drive away. If you are looking for a rural retreat, set at the end of a bridleway and surrounded by fields, why not use The Cabin as a base? Whatever your individual requirements – whether it be walking, biking or a romantic break - we will ensure a tailored approach to your stay, in a clean and well-maintained environment. Also provided: Blu-ray player, electric kettle, toaster, small fridge freezer, boot warmer, ordnance survey maps, bed linen and towels included, battery operated torch, fold-away dining table, chairs and coffee table, Scrabble and cards. Sun loungers. On request: Travel cot suitable up to 2 years, high chair, dog bed. There is an additional charge of £25 per stay for a doggy guest. This is payable on arrival. Tea and coffee provided for arrival. Security deposit required. Utilities included. Sensible footwear is recommended (especially in the winter) as the cabin is reached along a grassy track. Disabled Facilities We have made the cabin as accessible as possible but the topography of the land limits access at some times during the year and steps are required. If you have limited mobility please telephone and we can talk you through the access ensuring you can be as comfortable as possible. House Rules Maximum of two people unless agreed prior to booking. No smoking in The Cabin or the veranda.

BE WARNED
Horrendous tiny cabin it was quite a distance from the cabin to the hut and seriously no lights and no attention to detail. I was freezing getting out the hot tub and almost slipped over on the decking again a distance from the actual hut…. There was no attention to detail in the fridge. The walk from the car to the hut is a compensation claim and a very long distance across wet grass a nightmare to take the contents to the hut and you’ll be absolutely soaked as all the cases etc… NO LIGHTS ANYWHERE ITS DANGEROUS AND A LIABILITY. I’m horrendously unwell and had I of fallen slipped tripped and ended up in a wheelchair due to stenosis in my neck I’d would take them for everything their home, their annex. The worst part was not receiving a telephone call to actually inform them of the situation regarding basic and obvious issues I’ve mentioned. No customer care full stop. I didn’t want to have to embarrass this shoe box on line and had I received a courtesy call I would not be warning you all. Finally and I did take photos of the outrageous comments book-check out the w n an and I. They are written by the same author. I do feel a little paranoid about the author ignoring my polite note with my number signed with a X as to maybe listening cctv etc. what kind of business ignores its guests unless they already know my thoughts… the highlights for me was the the lack of tv its miniature… Work out the dimensions to get the actual size of this inadequate accommodation and don’t use the photos as misleading. These people must be raking it in and the fairy lights are insulting especially as I have night blindness and serious health concerns. Terrible

Magical Haven
Wow - what a perfect little gem Julie and John have created. A cosy, well organised space that we thoroughly enjoyed. They have thought of everything from space saving approaches to luxury touches - the bed was amazingly comfortable. But the real magic here is how by the landscaping and thought you really feel like you are in a cabin away from everyone and everything . Perfect hosts who are pleasant but not intrusive. We really hope to come back soon !

The Lodge Howes Court
After a few months in lockdown working for the NHS this accommodation, setting and attentive hosts where exactly what I needed to rewind and relax. I can honestly say that this was one of the best weeks I've had away in the UK. John and Julie are friendly, attentive but respected our privacy. The scenery is beautiful and peaceful but close enough to main roads to be able to go out and about. We spent our evenings watching the sunset over the rolling hills, having bbq's at the cabin and toasting marshmallows over the fire pit. We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub and then snuggling up in the slippers and robes provided. The attention to detail was exquisite from the fairy lights to the wood provided for our fires. The lodge itself is furnished beautifully and the small garden enclosed by trees felt private and was lovely to lounge in Reading a book in the sun. The lodge itself was comfortable and spacious for 2. We spent 4 lovely nights at Howes Court and I only wish it had lasted longer. I really hope we can stay again sometime soon. Book a few nights away, I promise you won't regret it!

Excellent anniversary stay
Beautiful log cabin, in a private part of the grounds with your own hot tub, what more could you want?! The views are beautiful, the cabin was cosy, comfortable and well equipped and the owners were helpful and friendly. Lots of local food nearby (we can recommend the Black Horse) or cook from the cabin in the clean, equipped kitchen. The hot tub is the highlight, we enjoyed several dips and it was fabulous - with great views out of the fields too! Overall a great stay, for a very good price- a gem tucked away outside of Maidstone, would highly recommend!

Our happy place
This is our 5th time here, 4 times in the cabin and once now in the annex We love our countryside secret escape It’s so peaceful and quaint the facilities are wonderful a cut countryside log cabin or the classic and quaint annex both with hot tub just to relax and unwind couldn’t ask for more Julian’s John and wonderful hosts and the fact u can opt in for a continental breakfast is such a great addition Much more personal than a hotel and a stones throw from access to motorway but you would never know as the only noise is from the nature surrounding you Cannot recommend howe court (cabin or annex) enough

Perfect place to relax.
Just come back from a lovely two night stay. The cabin is brilliant very clean and cosy and is tucked away alongside the owners cottage that’s also surrounded by loads of country side. The hot tub is just the perfect touch to this cabin. We had such a lovely time will be coming back next summer. Thanks Julie for having us.
