Cabin Holiday Rental
Situated in the village of Highley, Shropshire. This adorable log cabin is 5 minutes walk from the River Severn. With this in mind, it makes an ideal place for keen fishermen, especially those fishing for Barbel. There are many private pegs and BAA pegs available close by. The cabin is also appealing to train spotters/ rail enthusiasts. Highley train station is very close by, as is the local train museum. Some of the rarest steam trains can be seen passing through Highley. Highley train station connects the two neighbouring villages of Brigenorth and Bewdley. Both lovely places to visit not only for shopaholics, but for the history they hold, Bewdley also been very well know for its tourist attraction of the Safari Park/Theme Park. Where the cabin is placed it is not over looked by any neighbouring residents. It is very quiet and secluded and so makes a perfect place to go and simply do nothing.......... other than eat and drink ;) The local village shops are a 5 minute drive if provisions are needed. Or let some one else cooking as the local Indian and Chinese deliver most evenings. There is a leisure centre in Highley, with an heated outdoor swimming pool during the summer months. The Wyre Forest is only a few miles away, so for those of you who enjoy country walks and bike riding. There are many friendly country pubs to eat and drink along the way,the cabin is great for a few nights away. We have noticed an increase of wild life of late, particularly birds, animal enthusiasts would really enjoy the surroundings. The Cabin has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen and open planned lounge. There is a separate shed for fishermen to store their tackle and separate fridge for bait. There is a T.V and DVD player, so feel free to bring a film and have a quiet night in. The TV has free sky satellite service, so if you have a sky card, bring it along and you should be able to watch your own chosen channels. More

We arrived on the 3of September to be greeted by no one, very dated , no clean sheets or change of sheets or pillow cases be aware that the walk to the river is not 5 minutes from the lodge,it's 5 minutes by car and about 20 minutes walk if you are fit, there was no washing machine that worked when we were told that a man was coming to repair it,and we were told that the washing machine was new but was damaged in transit then we were told if the repair man could not fix it he would buy a new one , why would you put a broken one in, yet another lie this lodge in need of work to bring it up to standard, beware of the low beam in the lounge if you are not 6 ft tall we would not go back to this lodge if it was offered for free

The lodge was up a single dirt track along the railway lines, the locals drive up and down it very fast, and it was such a worry driving up it and also walking up and down it with the speeds they drive. The lodge was basic. Cushions outside were basically cushion covers . The beds were very uncomfy. Pillows were flat as a pillow case. But there was peace and quiet once the trains stopped at ten! We booked for a week, but only stayed until the Wednesday. Due to getting covid :(

A very pleasant stay in a Cabin located in a wonderful spot near the river in Highley. The furnishings are basic but adequate. Showers aren’t the best mainly due to the low water pressure but this certainly isn’t anything of concern. The electric radiators were also fiddly to get going even with instructions!! The real pleasure of the cabin though is on the outside. There are seating areas in all locations around the grounds of the cabin and I found nothing more pleasurable than sitting outside with a cup of coffee in the morning whilst listening to the birds & wildlife. Located perfectly for Highley Station with The Ship pub just a 5 minute walk away. The prices are exceptional value for money although please remember the electric is paid separately via a coin meter.

Our 2nd stay at Severn Valley View (having stayed for exactly the same post Christmas week last year). This fabulous place still maintains the same high standards of cleanliness, accommodation & facilities. A rural, remote (yet still easily accessible) quiet location with scenic views & picturesque walks on the door step. The property has all the necessary mod cons & a few extra home comforts thrown in. “10 out of 10” with an added bonus, with a week of unusually mild weather I even managed some successful fishing for Barbel on the beautiful river Severn (just a 5 minute walk away). Both my wife & myself were again totally happy with the whole experience of staying here from first enquiry through to departure. As for Adrian (the owner) it’s all been said & all I can do is concur that he really is a top bloke. Any issues are quickly rectified to your satisfaction, in a friendly & approachable manner. He is very knowledgeable about the local area, sincere trustworthy & with a genuine desire to ensure you enjoy your rural retreat to the full. I can unreservedly recommend “Severn Valley View” & very much except to return there in due course for a third visit. in

Well where do I start from start to finish with the booking and our short break was excellent Adrian could not do enough for us. The cabin its self was well equipped very clean but most the thought that has gone into the property if you own a dog was second to none an inclosed garden and decking out side just sitting there watching the wild life very relaxing. The ship Inn just a short walk away again excellent service could not of asked for more. Thank you Adrian for making our stay an excellent one. I enjoyed our stay that much ive booked to go Christmas again in June and August I highly recommend it.

after a few early personal problems which Adrian was very understanding about we arrived at severn valley view.Adrian was there to greet us this was very helpful On arrival the lodge was very clean and tidy and has all the amenities you need for your stay.It is set in a very nice spot indeed very quite its lovely just to sit on the decked area and just chill. The river is not far at all and i had some cracking chub and barbel (8mm spicy sausage pellet size 12 hook). There are some lovely walks in and around highley and the pub is walking distance away about 5-7 minutes away what more could you ask for.I would have no hesitation about recommending this holiday let to anyone.

The log Cabin was extremely clean and comfortable it had all the amenities anyone would need. It is very private and quiet set in lovey surroundings. lovely comfortable veranda to just sit and relax in the evening. The Cabin is only 5 minutes walk from the Severn Heritage Railway at Highley and the Museum. The River Severn is about 10 minutes walk which has good fishing. We had an absolutely amazing holiday and will definitely be returning next year. Very good value for money. The owner Adrian is a lovely guy very helpful. Thank you Adrian.

We had a fantastic few days at the cottage. Great peaceful location. Fantastic to see the occasional trains of the Severn Valley Railway passing. Clean well maintained cottage. No problems at all. Short walk to the river severn and the local pub.
