Great location within easy walking distance of town centre and also local shops. On bus route. Very clean well-equipped house with views of Forth Bridge. Friendly, helpful owners. Easy access to Edinburgh.

Great location. Loved the 3 bridges: we cycled over Forth Road Bridge, caught train over rail bridge and drove over the elegant new Queensferry Crossing. Bought a Spokes cycle map, parked at Cramond, lovely cycle along coast and then into Edinburgh along cycle routes. Water...More

Stayed here the last week in August. Very handy for trains into Edinburgh and a nice pleasant spot to stay. Lots of local information available and books/toys available for children. Playground nearby for the little one. Owners friendly and very helpful.

About the neighbourhood
South Queensferry is an historic town, with cobbled streets and terraced pavements winding through shops, restaurants and its own museum. The town has a number of events and festivals, including the 'Looney Dook' on New Years Day- a quick dip in the freezing Forth estuary for any brave souls; and the Ferry Fair at the beginning of June which has over 40 events including music, dance, sports, arts and exhibitions. This event dates back to 1687 when permission to hold the event was originally granted by King Charles I. The week long festival culminates in the bizarre ritual of the 'Burry Man' and the crowning of the Queen of South Queensferry, chosen from one of the three local primary schools.
