Great cabin getaway! Secluded area and very clean and comfortable accommodations. It has everything you need, which allows you to fully relax. Grounds were also well kept. Would highly recommend.
We were so happy to find this place! The location is perfect! It is peaceful and beautiful with a view of the pond. My husband and daughter enjoyed fishing on Prong Pond! The cabin is beautiful, clean and comfortable.

Clean, quaint cabin, on a beautiful pond in a beautiful area. Exceeded our expectations. Our family of five adults were very comfortable. One could tell that the owners looked after the details !
This is our second time staying at the Birch Overlook.
As always, the cabin was pristine when we arrived! Listening to the call of the loons is always relaxing!

About the neighbourhood
As you leave the endless traffic lights, strip malls and Wal-Marts behind, you will travel thru lightly populated rural Maine to Greenville. Once here you are now in a small outpost town at the edge of the 'Great North Woods'. It is different here; small shops, plaid flannel shirt diners and a couple of wilderness outfitters. Around you are Maine's largest lakes and numerous smaller ponds along with the headwaters of several notable rivers including the Allagash. Mt. Katahdin, just to our north, anchors the northern end of the Appalachian Mtn. chain. Surrounding you are several million acres of working forests, home to the 'American Loggers'. The only traffic jams here are for moose sightings. And this is a recreational wonderland; canoeing/kayaking, white water rafting, hiking, climbing, ...
