Everything went well for the most part. The code to get in was wrong, so we had to call and get someone to help us. The outside was dirty, trash was all around the back. There was no trash can for us put our trash in outside. Other than those things it was good. We enjoy the house and had a great time.

The house needs lots of update and better furniture and maintenance. Doors & windows are not tight and couple of bedrooms were ice cold. Fire place not working. Imagine middle of winter these two problems could be a deal breaker. And I have not heard back from management for this problem. Lights of light bulbs were removed to either save electricity or were not replaced.

Would love to return in the warmer months to enjoy the beautiful view.

I have a lot of experience renting properties for my family and this property was below standard. Right from the start there was a problem - the electronic lock did not work. Fortunately the kitchen door was unlocked and we were able to access the house. Then house was only superficially clean. There were cobwebs, dead insects, dust covered air registers, plastic plants and bathroom fans. There was mold/mildew in several bathroom showers and one of the bedrooms had black mold on the ceiling - rendering completely unusable. Neither fireplace was functioning The entire house needs to be repainted. Finally, we were set to check out on Thursday but we decided to leave a day early and called to request assistance in getting the driveway cleared of the snow and ice. No one came or returned my call when I called the second time. All in all, it was a very disappointing rental

The drive to property is on turn off of the main road, and is close to grocery, restaurants and other convenience stores. Parking is a bit tight for four vehicles, though. The house is clean. Kitchen and appliances are clean and maintained. Bathrooms and showers are clean and mildew free. Water pressure was good, hot water was also better than expected. The beds and linens were comfortable and also clean! All seating, both indoor and out are well maintained and comfortable. Hot tub was also well taken care of and a perfect temp! Even the large windows were cleaned and maintained. The dock and outside decks are maintained pretty well. However, we recommend that you power wash the wooden stairs to the dock and the upper deck soon to avoid someone slipping in moist conditions. The stairs are definitely slick in misty weather. There was some trash in small trash cans and in some metal cans in the flower beds when we arrived. There are nails popped out of the older siding on the upper deck that could snag clothing or a persons leg... just making you aware of it. Power washing the entrance way would be an improvement for first appearance as well. We also recommend taking down the expired and exhausted fire ext from above the fridge and labeling the 3 ext under the sinks around the house for convenience. We thought for the first 2 days we didn't have any useful ones. And, please please please put up a new US flag... we had some veterans, retired police and fire personnel as part of our party who were offended by its tattered faded appearance. They actually took it down, you're lucky they didn't burn it in the fire pit per Federal recommendations of disposing of a old flag. We would definitely be interested in staying here again and would recommend it to friends and family. We think the extra charge to arrive before 4 and to stay after 10 am should be lower or if you stay more than so many days included since we pay the daily cleaning fee and the house is not cleaned everyday. The realty staff were always helpful, understanding and responsive. Answering the phone and dealing with our requests with smile and professional attitude. Better response through the e-mail would be a suggesting improvement. More personable followup by the realty staff would also have appreciated when they were missing paperwork that we had not idea they did not receive. The price and location are a good deal.
