This house is in a very nice and quiet neighborhood with easy access to the lake via a short walk through a wooded area. The layout of the house is clearly designed as a vacation home for a large group and was perfect for our family, six adults and five children. The house is located toward the southern end of the lake and is a 15 to 20 minute drive to most of the local attractions. The house has a boat dock and the southern section of the lake had less boat traffic, which is a definite plus. Why am I rating it a four instead of five? Some of the appliances and furnishings are old and worn out and in need of replacement. The dishwasher, the gas grill and some of the beds have seen better days. We called the maintenance people at the real estate agency about the dishwasher. They promptly sent out a serviceman to look at it, but there was little he could do. We spent a lot of time hand washing dishes because it just couldn't do the job. Several of the beds were very uncomfortable, lumpy and sagging in the middle. I would not rent this house again if it were to remain to remain in the current condition. If the owners were to replace the old and worn out furniture and appliances, I would rate the property a five and rent it again, in a New York minute.
