Everything we needed was already there. Beautiful property and home.

The house is nice and situated right on the lake, as advertised. Kitchen supplies/cutlery/pots/pans/etc. fell far short of expectations. Much of it was very dirty and we didn't feel comfortable using it. It should be replaced. Downstairs area moldy smelling. Main floor and upstairs in good condition and bathrooms were clean and nice.

It had exactly the number of rooms and layout we needed. Beautiful location, and clean.

We loved the home. The location, the hot tub, the decks everything. The only con I would have to say is the top bedroom on the right does not have air condition so I’m sure the summer months are hot.

The Secret of Life was amazing and perfect for our family of 7. House was clean, owners were very responsive and location was secluded and a perfect getaway.

Great place to stay, but the deck is aging and needs some work. The lot also needs some tree trimming for a true lake view. Liked the place but it seems a little neglected. However we had a great time. The beds were comfortable and the place has a nice layout. The owners boat was out of the water and we made full use of the dock. Great location for tubing and boarding. Not a lot of boat traffic. The boys made great use of the hot tub. Would come back!

The perfect mountain lake cabin in the woods. Absolutely loved our stay. It is in a somewhat secluded area of the lake and away from the hustle and bustle. Just what we needed for a relaxing vacation. House is beautiful and spacious. Hot tub and fire pit are perfectly placed in the private backyard. Short walk down to the lake.

Great house. Clean. Well equipped kitchen. Great for our family of ages 20 thru 79. Something for everyone of all ages. Lovely game/puzzle collection for our rainy day. This is our second stay and hoped to return twice a year, every year! Trying to schedule the same week next year but see there’s a $2000 price increase (62%). Very disappointed. Will look into other vacation options.

I can be kind of lazy about reviews, but after having such a extraordinary experience with both Vacasa & this home, I had to leave one so others know how awesome everything was! Me & my family go to Deep Creek Lake at least twice a year and this was by far the best house and rental company we have ever worked with! <br /> <br /> First, Vacasa has exceptional customer service! i had questions about the Dock at the house being available since we fell a week short of when it was suppose to be available and this really stressed me out, but Vacasa really went all out with making sure we had this available to use ahead of time and even though it was the weekend, texted me as soon as they got confirmation from the local office. They really just rocked with their fast responses and polite personnel!<br /> <br /> The House was perfect! It was by the dam so the boat traffic was super minimal and a great spot for fishing and even swimming with the kids since we didn't have to deal with any boats zooming by us. The small walkway from the house to the lake was even more perfect and flat! the pictures don't do justice with how close you are to the water, the trees just block the view, but you are right there on the water (which is hard to find there). The area where the house it was very quite and peaceful. The house is so much bigger than the pictures, the kitchen was great for the group we had and plenty of space so no one felt on top of each other. The Basement area was also very large and comfortable, as well as the bedrooms (the master bedroom is enormous!). The house was kept very clean, loved having access to laundry room (kids/baby clothes), provided us more than enough towels & toiletries, the hot tub was super clear and clean, the grill was great to use, loved the big fans they had in the house (No AC, but that's everywhere up there, so was ok with us!), Beds and furniture were comfortable and the house overall was up to date and very well maintained (which is also rare in deep creek). The house is pet & family friendly, had 2 kids under the age of 4 and they pretty much hung out in the main living area most of the time (there's cable & surround sound). <br /> <br /> I hate putting con's because none of the con's were anything that actually mattered overall, but so if others decide to rent they know what to expect ahead of time and can be prepared for (no place is perfect, but this was the closest!). So, the only minor con's we had were not having super strong wifi connection (First world problems, I know! most of us had Sprint, so service in deep creek overall is lacking- AT&T works well there though! ), but we mad it work for the few that had to work remotely during the week, but 5 adults & 2 teenagers sharing wifi we knew we'd have lag, but again we managed just fine! The kitchen could use some bigger skillets & baking pans for groups(but you can also buy some one use foil pans from any store there), but we made due with what was there and were totally fine! The other super minor con, was just not having a vacuum or dust pan there as I'm a bit OCD and wanted to have clean floors because of the kids playing on the ground, but this was vacation so looked at it as a week away from cleaning constantly lol! <br /> <br /> Again, this was the best place me & my family have EVER stayed at in up in Deep Creek and had such a fantastic experience with everything that we are talking about trying to rent this place again next year ahead of time! its just that great that I had to leave a novel of a review!

First time at Deep Creek and off season but had a great time. The house was great for our family of four (and dog) and can comfortably accommodate more. All the main bedrooms have a full bathroom which is great. The location is awesome - 15 mins to everywhere including Oakland and McHenry. Wish we were in season for boating and golf! Had a blast at two state parks (one only 10 mins away) and enjoyed the property to include the fire pit and hot tube! Definitely returning!
