It was our first time around the Cape Cod region and this house was perfect for our family, 3 kids and Grandma! The kitchen is superb, the living room is vast, we loved the porch and the peaceful backyard. We would definitely consider renting this house again. Communicating with Claire is super simple and every issue is quickly resolved! Thanks!!

Rented this place for 3 years and convenient for walking to shops, restaurants and beach. Awesome for family reunions. Could use air conditioning as the summers do get real hot. Other than that an awesome place to rent.

Walking Distance

Beach House close to so much!
Great location for Onset (and the cape). Easy walk to the beaches & town. The house was great for our family. It was clean and spacious for our family of four. We enjoyed the screened in porch and level backyard with an outdoor shower. The window ACs in the bedroom worked great when it was hot/humid. We enjoyed eating in town, going to the beach and taking a canal cruise. So much to do in the area!

Home away from home in a great location
We were looking for a COVID-safe beach vacation close to Cape Cod, and Claire’s home definitely delivered! Onset is so beautiful—surrounded by water and very nice beaches without the crowds. It is also super convenient to the bridges to the Cape, and we enjoyed several day trips to Sandwich, Chatham, Eastham, and Wellfleet. The local seafood restaurants also did not disappoint—don’t miss the stuffed quahogs, lobster rolls, and clam cakes... delicious! The home is just a very short walk to beaches as well as the downtown; an easy walk even with three young children and all the beach gear. The house itself had everything we could want, including the luxury of a wine fridge and fully outfitted kitchen. Air conditioners are available in all windows if it gets too hot, and there are fans everywhere also. We were very comfortable. The screened in back porch is especially lovely, and it was very nice to have a good-sized backyard and patio table/chairs. Claire was super communicative and helpful—there was an issue with the washing machine, and she worked hard to get the problem remedied as soon as possible, including having a repairman come out right away and purchasing a new washer/dryer combo and having it delivered and installed within the week. Highly recommend this property!

Clean, peaceful and roomy!
This home was very clean upon arrival and very cozy. The kitchen was where we spent most of our time making family breakfasts and creating our lobster boil. The sleeping arrangements were comfortable for our extended family (especially the upstairs A.C. units). Parking was tight, but was able to accommodate us. We opted to drive to larger beaches in Sandwich so we can not review those that are closer. Restaurants within walking distance were very good, offered outdoor dining and had a great water view.
Claire was always quick to communicate back whenever we had a question...and there weren't many.

Walkable Beach Cottage
This cottage has great space for a group. We enjoyed being able to walk to several restaurants and walk to the beach. The kitchen has been renovated and is a great space for a group. The grill was a perfect addition. We enjoyed sitting on the back porch enjoying the quiet. Parking is limited. Bringing our own sheets and towels was tricky as we flew in to stay here.

Practically Perfect!
This is the best rental we have ever experienced in the area. Our only comment, having four children, is that the WiFi could be improved. Other than that, we loved the kitchen, living room, screened in porch, yard, roomy bedrooms, washing machine and dryer and how short the walk to the beach and Village was! If we return to the area in the future, this is the first property we will check for availability!

Nice summer vacation Cottage!
I rented this cottage for a week in July, 2017. My daughter, husband , 2 - 7 years old granddaughters and my son. It had plenty of room for all of us. I am from this area and my family is still here. We miss the ocean and the great New England food.
We had only two issues.. 1. Being from New England and being a restaurant owner for years. I thought the kitchen should of had some better knives . But, most of all there was no Lobster pot!!! We always have a New England Clam Boil when we get together . 2. It was hot! There were plenty of fans in house but to hot to sleep comfortable at night.
Loved the house and area! Would try to go earlier or later in year next time.

Nice vacation property overall
Great convenient location, close to water, house was clean and mostly well maintained, the kitchen is specious and very well equipped, wine cooler adds luxury. But there is still a room for improvement, particularly in house amenities listing accuracy and it's condition.
the area is very nice, perfect for small children.
We would recommend this property.
